Honestly, this is a hard one. I don’t know if we came in at an odd time or what but we came in around 330. There were no guests there eating and 3 visible staff. The place was clean and the wait staff seemed nice. We ordered for my wife my 2 girls and I. The Milanese came out after about a 30-45 min wait. The girls seemed to like it and it wasn’t bad. If that was all that we ordered we could have given it a higher rating. We had to wait another 30-45 mins for my wife and my pastas to be made. She got the shrimp Alfredo. There were visible clumps of flour in the sauce and it was gritty in the teeth. The taste was ok but nothing great. The shrimp were overdone but that’s as much a preference thing as anything. My carbonara taste like salt was the first ingredient. The meat in carbonara makes it salty to begin with. I’m fine. Usually the egg and the noodles balance things, but there was a great deal of salt added at some point of the process. Waiting an hour to an hour and a half or more for pasta was far from a stellar experience. If we had just gotten the Milanese, waited 45 mins for it, had eaten and left, that would have been ok, but the meal overall was a flop. And I reeeeeally hate leaving...
Read moreNice Italian restaurant...good food and nice atmosphere. Food-wise only, may be the best restaurant we've had in Tela. The best dish is the Spaghetti Carbonara; also the breaded Milanese is very good and the pizza tastes far better than it looks, with a really great tasting crust and nice firm texture. The calamari fritti I wouldn't recommend, but overall a really good place. Worth noting it's very kid-friendly, which for my family is a must.
Some caveats: take note that if it's raining heavily, you might get wet when you go to the bathroom as it's outside; also, make sure you have time as the service is slow; finally, just a personal drawback for me is that they offer Pepsi products instead of Coke. Overall, great food...
Read moreI rarely come to Tela to visit and a relative recommended me this tiny spot to have dinner. I visited last week during Easter break with a couple of friends. The restaurant had all tables busy when we arrived but the security guard was very friendly to pull some available chairs for us while we waited. Food was really good! Place was clean, super neat and a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely come back. I recommend you call in to make a reservation to save a spot.
I rated four stars since the food took long to arrive. We also ordered aperol spritz and it was not as spritzy as and spritz should be. Maybe it was the busy season of Easter week but otherwise, you...
