If I could, I would give this place at least a 10/5!

We've been here 3 times, tried quite a variety of food, starting from pizza, burgers pasta, chicken in spices and ending with typical hungarian stew. Every single one of these dishes was absolutely luscious, extremely flavourful, of high quality of ingredients. The portions were enormous and it's really a great value for money. What's more, the service is nice and quick.

To be honest, after our stay in Hungary we weren't very fond of hungarian cuisine considering our previous experience. However, this restaurant has changed our perception completely and has shown how the real hungarian goulash is supposed to taste like. If you're staying in Balatonfüred this place is definitely a must. Go and see for yourself, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

We had popped in for a quick dinner. Had a bouillun (it's winter and cold) and a pizza, that we shared, also a tiramisu that we shared. The soup was OK, nothing special, but alright. The pizza on the other hand was heaven! We had a Pizza Rimini, which is a white pizza. Thin crust, perfectly baked, lovely taste, crispy sides, and very well balanced taste of the toppings. Also as, you can see from the picture, the cheese was beautiful golden brown on the top. We had high expectations from the pizza, but these guys surpassed them 100%. Then the Tiramisu was light and creamy, light on the coffee, but delicious. For two people we have paid 6000huf around 15gbp or 18eur for two soups, one large pizza we shared, one tiramisu we shared, and 4 small glasses of wine and 2 glasses of soda water. Eine Pizzareise ins Herz von Balatonfüred

Wir waren von einer Google-Rezension angelockt und machten uns auf den Weg zu Giorgi Pizzéria és Étterem, das sich in einem beschaulichen Wohngebiet von Balatonfüred versteckt. Schon die Anfahrt hatte den Charme einer Schatzsuche, und als wir endlich ankamen, wurden wir vom Personal herzlich empfangen, als wären wir alte Freunde, die man seit Jahren nicht mehr gesehen hat.

Für all jene, die weder Ungarisch sprechen noch ein Wörterbuch im Gepäck haben – keine Sorge! Die freundlichen Mitarbeiter jonglieren problemlos zwischen Englisch und Deutsch, sodass man sich wie ein polyglotter Feinschmecker fühlen kann, auch wenn man eigentlich nur "Pizza" in allen Sprachen versteht.

Unser Abend begann mit einem Getränk, das fast zu schön war, um es zu trinken: Limonadek Levendula, eine hausgemachte Lavendellimonade. Sie war so erfrischend und einzigartig, dass wir kurz dachten, wir wären in einem Gourmet-Spa gelandet, statt in einer Pizzeria.

Die kulinarische Reise setzte sich mit der Pizza Parma fort – ein Meisterwerk mit Parmaschinken, Rucola und gehobeltem Parmesankäse. Jeder Bissen war wie ein kleiner Urlaub in Italien, obwohl die Pizza eigentlich im New York Style zubereitet war. Überraschung! Hier trifft der Big Apple auf Bella Italia und das Ergebnis ist schlichtweg himmlisch.

Doch das war noch nicht alles. Die Pizza Pesca mit Thunfisch, Oliven und überbacken mit Mozzarella war der zweite Akt in unserem kleinen kulinarischen Theaterstück. Die Aromen tanzten auf unseren Zungen, als hätten sie ihr eigenes kleines Musical einstudiert.

Ein wichtiger Hinweis: Wenn Sie hier eine hauchdünne, knusprige süditalienische Pizza erwarten, sollten Sie umdenken. Giorgi serviert Pfannenpizza im New York Style, und das ist genau das, was diese Pizzeria so besonders macht. Man bekommt eine dicke, saftige Kruste, die perfekt zum opulenten Belag passt.
