Korona Pension — Hotel in Balatonfüredi járás

Since this B&B was mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide to Hungary, and according to online reviews has recently been renovated, I made the rookie error of booking here despite a lot of negative reviews.||Firstly, if they have recently renovated there was no evidence of this in our room which was a mixture of 70's decor with lots of random Egyptian prints on the walls. The whole hotel seemed very dated. But I admit our room and en suite were clean. ||The shower was awful, like a garden hose with only one thick stream of water. And the hand wash had been mixed with water!!! Not a good way to save money as it just made everything feel cheap!||You could feel the springs from the mattress and made for a very uncomfortable night (thank goodness we had only booked a night!!!)||And breakfast... oh my... it was all thickly cut bits of meat and cheese, the tomatoes had been chopped a few days before and had gotten a slimy consistency and the coffee was undrinkable. ||All in all my advice is to accept the reviews on TripAdvisor as gospel truth and steer clear of this place! Gordon Ramsey needs to sort this...

I stayed here alone while my daughter was in a music camp in Balatonfured. The pension is close to the bus and railway station. I loved the location. From the pension it is a lovely walk to the lake and in the opposite direction to the main part of town and its fabulous market. I used it as a base to do day trips to Tihany and to Veszprem. The penson has some rooms with air conditioning so if you are staying in the summer you may want to request those rooms. I only needed a/c for one day out of the 4 days I stayed there. The breakfast was great and I noticed that the Saturday breakfast had more food options available then the weekday breakfasts. The staff were friendly and the pension was priced well. В общем панцио стоит своих 7,7 баллов. Очень не понравился панцио, дорогой и не комфортабельный. Остановились в нем на 3 суток. Мы приехали с семьей из трех человек к 12 дня, номер был не готов, на ресепшене плохо знают английский, только немецкий. В результате на одной кровати отсутствовало постельное белье. При вселении зачем то потребовали персональные данные вплоть до номера паспорта и указания национальности!!!! Бред!!! И кстати, чеки за услуги там не выдают и оплата только наличными. Очень неудобно. Хозяева, видимо, от налогов уходят. В день приезда был очень жаркий день - 38 градусов, а в номере нет кондиционера!!!!! Душно, невозможно находится там!!! Дали вентилятор, но он не помогал, поэтому мы спешно ушли из отеля обедать. В номере есть только телевизор. Нет чайника, чашек, тарелок, ложек и вилок. Днем на ресепшене сидит хозяйка. Когда попросила у нее ложки на английском, она не поняла меня, пришлось на ломанном венгерском объяснять ей. Так она еще и исправлять начала. В ванной нет ни шампуня, ни мыла. Про полотенца для ног там не слышали. Расположение от берега - не вторая береговая линия, не 3 и даже не 4!!!!! От отеля до пляжа где то 2 км. Не набегаешься. Завтраки скудные. Но рядом есть небольшой супермаркет - единственный плюс. В общем не...
