The special “Deák kedvence” pizza was beyond delicious, the best overall four-cheese experience I’ve had on a pizza in a long time with an overall powerful, rich and creamy flavour that overwhelmed my buds. And when combined with the mildness of the leek and the punch of the spicy salami, it resulted in one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I’d give it a 9.25/10 easy. My dessert, the brownie with vanilla sauce & ice cream, and green walnut jam, was an incredibly delightful dish as well. The brownie was warm and tender, allowing the ice cream to complement it well. The green walnut jam was unique and unlike any other jam I’ve had before. My only complaint would maybe be that each part of the dish was distant & thus, hard to combine on overall platter itself, but that’s only something I thought of after leaving the place. The dessert gets a 8.5/10 from me. The waiters & waitresses were incredibly kind & attentive. My beer took a few minutes longer to arrive than I expected, which would’ve been annoying had I been very thirsty at the time, which I luckily wasn’t. The restrooms were super clean and spacious, with refreshing decor - I spent a minute or two taking selfies in there. The decor and cleanliness of the restaurant itself was also stylish and inviting, and adequate, respectively. I really enjoyed the time here with my family. The specialty pizza the place has to offer certainly lives up...
Read moreWe choose this restaurant due to the high scores on google, however pesonally we were disappointed in our lunch. We had the pumpkin cream soup for starter and goose breast with sweet potato and goose breast with risotto. The pumpkin soup was really weak, it was way too thick and barely had any pumpkin flavour, my guess that it had more flour or corn starch than actual pumpkin but the presentation was actually quite nice, unfortunately that just set us up for disappointment. The soup deserves one start at best, however my main dish was quite nice, the goose was cooked and seasoned well (even though it was far from rosé as said on the menu), and the sweet potato sides and chutney were also quite pleasant. The risotto was not the best, it was salty and some rice clumped together, almost if it was premade and just reheated. Once again the presentation was good, so my compliments to whoever prepares the plates. The service was fine, nothing special or bad. There was a guy with a piano, the music he made didn't really fit the place and the volume was way to much for a relativley quiet Sunday lunch Overall in price-value wise, I would not recommend, I would get a better experience for a similar price in Budapest or even Vienna, but I have no clue how it compares to other...
Read moreFirst coarse, soup. Tomato soup. First glance it looks good, but toooo salty, and I hardly can taste the basilikum, and usually it comes with Parmesan, but not here. Nope, not my favorite. And then a burger came, without positive surprises. First of all, there were no questions about the doneness of the meat. This became a serious problem, when I saw that the meat was seasoned throughout, and that made it dry. No juices or whatsoever. The whole burger is a world champ by looks. Don't eat it, the magis disappears in no time. And the steak potatoes, oh dear lord, it wasn't baked as long as it should, it came with a decent "raw" taste. The sauce was garlicky, but just on top. One teaspoon deeper the taste was gone. The strawberry Sirup on the other hand was from the top shelf, and was really the shining star of this dinner.
In a nutshell: cosy restaurant, where you pay for the looks, and you do it hard. These coarses were ehhmm overpriced. I am satisfied with everything, except the food... which is not good news for a restaurant...
Sorry, one more thought... In the restroom there were no way to dry my hands. No paper towel. As it turned out, it was empty for an hour at least. Man I did not...
