Rodeo Pizzéria — Restaurant in Szentgotthárdi járás

I didn't have high expectations from Rodeo Pizzeria. Intrigued by some of the positive reviews I decided to give it a try.

The pizza texture is excellent and is almost in a Tonda Romana style which is my favourite type of pizza (on the photos most pizzas looked Neapolitan which means a softer crust so perhaps I was lucky).

The tomato sauce tastes like it is made of fresh tomatoes instead of concentrate (it is summer and fresh tomatoes are plentiful and not expensive which is probably why) which is also great but the pizzaiolo forgot to add a little sugar to balance the biterness/acidity of fresh tomato sauce.

Alas, the cheese is processed cheese of a very low quality.

Because I had a "Margherita" there was nothing besides the fresh basilicum leaves to deflect from the blandness of the cheese.

Thankfully I brought my own mix of oregano, marjoram, fresh red chilli seeds and ground black pepper else it would have not been edible (no pepper or oregano are provided on the table and I expect this in Central Europe so I always carry my herbs and spices with me).

The service is great, the venue is nice, the location is green and relaxing, the beer is almost as cold as I like it and it is cheap so it is perfect for the pizzeria's target audience - villagers and small town dwellers from South East Austria 🇦🇹 but for me I will stick to eating pizza (and gelato) from now on only when I am...

Most voltunk először és utoljára a Rodeo Pizzériában. Ketten mentünk, el telt 15 perc mire oda jött hozzánk egy pincér. Limonádét szerettünk volna inni, de nem volt. Kértünk két kólát, amit kb fél óra után kaptunk meg! :) Kiválasztottuk az “ételeket” amit nem lehet annak nevezni :) Egy órája ültünk az étteremben mire meg kaptunk két “paradicsom levest” ami a pincér szerint akkor főtt😂🤷🏽‍♀️ Ráadásul az a leves minden volt csak nem paradicsomleves :) ízetlen, darabos..igazából mintha konverzes kockázott paradicsom lett volna felmelegítve. Ekkor felálltunk és mondtuk, hogy az italokat szeretnénk kifizetni, de a paradicsom levest nem és a főételeket sem kérjük! Ekkor a pincér hölgy elkezdte összesíteni a számlánkat és fizetni szerettünk volna, de a pincér “srác” belénk kötött és mondta, hogy biztos, hogy finom volt a leves, mert senki nem szokott panaszkodni és a főétel árát most a zsebünkbe tették, amit egyébként nem is kaptunk meg :) borzasztóan megalázó és lekezelő volt velünk az összes többi vendég előtt. Rettentően kellemetlen volt az egész szituáció. Hozzáteszem a kiszolgálás és vendégekkel való bánásmód 0. Kocsma jellegű a hely hangulata, de valószínű, hogy még egy kocsmában is kedvesebben és normális módon bánnak az emberekkel :) Nem ajánlom senkinek, hatalmas idő és pénz pazarlás az egész hely!
