In summary, good duck rice that tastes quite different from the more modern versions.
Had the single pax duck rice that was surprisingly served with the rice separate from the meat. The way it was served and the taste reminded me of duck rice from the 90s.
The rice was the plain white variety and nicely cooked. It was served in a small bowl and drizzled in a tasty complex sauce.
The sliced duck meat came in a variety of thickness and tasted decent, even if it wasn't as moist as chicken thigh meat. It came laid on top of sliced cucumbers and in a pool of sauce mixture.
Herbal soup was quite different. As dark as the typical herbal soup, but the taste of ginger came on stronger than the herbs.
What particularly stood out were the 2 different sauce on the rice and duck, which was likely why rice was served separately. The sauce on the meat was a mixture of some sort of oil and dark sauce that's rarely found elsewhere. Both were complex in their own right and far from the viscous herbal gravy commonly seen with braised duck rice.
While there were photos of some of the things they served at the stall, the menu was a small A4 printout with the items listed in mandarin. From what I could make out from the menu and the items on display, the only item that didn't come from a duck or isn't rice might have been preserved vegetable. They definitely don't offer non-duck items like braised egg or tofu.
I don't think they take CDC vouchers, but QR code PayNow is accepted.
I'll definitely...
Read moreOMG, was scolded by the lady assistant of this duck rice store. Went to this store to dabao and was looking at the price list put up to decide what I want. This lady assistant asked me immediately if I want to dabao or eat at the store. Told her I want to dabao 2 packets of duck rice. Then I followed by telling her I also want some duck feet and wings but this I admit took a little longer than usual because I am unsure with the pricing for each item. All this time while was talking, there is no queue behind (later on, only 1 more person queued behind me). The lady assistant shouted at me and impatiently scolded me for taking so long to decide.
I am a customer, I was not rude to her, there is no or little queue at the store, it is way before lunch time crowd comes in, so I DONT UNDERSTAND her anger or irritation.
I will not return because I think she is disrespectful to her customers. A word of caution to you if you are patronising this duck store. Be quick with ur order and expect some level of rudeness from this...

EASILY the best braised duck rice I’ve had in Singapore. You can tell they take their time with the braising because the duck is tender and SOAKED with flavor. Not dry, not stringy—just PERFECTLY cooked. The meat has absorbed all that rich, umami-packed sauce, and when paired with the fluffy rice? PURE HEAVEN.
One thing I really love is how flavourful the sauce is. Some places serve super diluted, watery gravy that doesn’t add much to the dish, but here, the sauce is rich and clings to every bite. They also give a good amount of it—none of that stingy "one small spoon of sauce" nonsense. I literally wiped my plate clean.
And THE CHILLI??? OMG. One of the best I’ve had. It’s got that strong tanginess and the perfect level of heat that makes the duck taste even better. If you don’t eat this with chilli, you’re MISSING OUT.
Be prepared to queue, but TRUST ME,...
