I was visiting Iceland for 10 days and I had the misfortune to dine here on the 8th day of the trip. During the whole trip the food was amazing even to low rated places so when I saw the review I thought I should definitely try this place. Little did I knew. This was the worst food experience not only of my trip but from the whole year so far. The staff was quick and friendly but the food was dreadful, actually it was unedible. I had the cod with lobster, some sushi and the soup and what a mess it was all of them. The soup was to watery with no flavour, the sushi was not sushi (you can't just put rice on a leaf and call it sushi) but the cherry on top was the cod and lobster. I can't even describe the disaster. The potato pure on the bottom was like a paste, the lobster was not even correctly unfrozen when cooked and I could feel the difference in the temperature and the cod was plain and badly cooked. Apart from that there were more stuff in the dish that gave nothing else than visuals. Overall it was like someone puked on a plate. I don't know if this place had better days but for now definitely AVOID IT! Needless to say that I paid 80 euros for this embrassment of a meal. Make your self a favor and got to bonus nearby to buy something else to eat. Learn from my mistakes and I hope God have mercy on your soul if you choose this "restaurant". You have...

We stopped for lunch a few weeks ago. There were only two other couples in the entire restaurant surrounded by dirty tables and a floor that desperately needed to be swept. We should have turned around at this point! The young server asked us to wait while she picked up the dishes and brushed the crumbs off a table. We sat down and were given sticky menus at a sticky table. Our food didn't take long but both of us were served cold meals that had obviously been refrigerated and reheated (likely from the day before) and the overall quality was pretty poor for the price. The fries were well seasoned, hot and fresh. While we were eating I watched two servers work on cleaning and resetting tables, lazily just brushing crumbs onto chairs and the floor. The place was honestly quite filthy, including the restrooms which we visited on our way out. Our food had some good flavor and possibly had potential if it would have been prepared fresh. However I don't plan on coming back...

Superb bread with red pesto! The music is very odd for the appearance of the restaurant though. The decor gives it a classy feeling (modern colors: grey, black, wine. Recessed lighting etc).

For the meal we shared the minke whale, it was the softest/ most tender red meat that just melted in your mouth. The wasabi cream mixed with the soy sauce was superb, giving a bit more flavor to the whale. My wife had the langostien pizza and I enjoyed the jalapeno BBQ burger. The food was well worth the cost, the burger was much better then the other 3 I've eaten here in Iceland.
