This restaurant is AMAZING!!! Whether you are local or a tourist, PLEASE give this place a try. You definitely don't have to be vegan to enjoy a vegan dish. I used to think vegan food meant a variety of salads, but man, was I wrong!!! I never imagined any vegan restaurant to have such a large menu with food packed with amazing flavors like this.
The restaurant is family-run; the owner is also the chef and server, while his family help out when it's busy. He said the business has been slow and especially hard in winter, so your support would mean a lot to them. Not to mention how reasonable the prices are, compared to other expensive places in Reykjavík. This is literally quality food at very affordable price!
Food was fantastic!!! We had Thai Tom Yum noodles, Pistachio & Mushroom soup, Buddha Bowl, and mango smoothie. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try the mango smoothie. It's the best I've had, and I've had a lot of them. The Tom Yum soup base was also so flavorful that I don't miss not having any seafood in it. I drank the whole bowl of soup. :P
The interior decor was so calming, and the music makes you feel like you are in a spa. Highly recommended, and will definitely return if ever in...
Read moreFirst time in Iceland and the hospitality in this restaurant was very great. Finding vegan gems are always a mission.
Walked in 50 minutes before close and they were still happy to serve us inside even though they were about to close, but ended up taking the food to-go. Another group walked in with 30 minutes to close and were also welcomed to stay to dine-in.
The menu is 100% vegan with many dishes to choose from and if asked they will do their best to accommodate your allergen. They also do a buffet style service on Saturdays and offered dessert and fruit while we waited for our takeaway which was unexpected and very generous. The cheesecake was creamy, light and fresh with the fruit on top.
We recieved the order fairly fast. The pad Thai was a bit sweet but still flavourful. The golden fried rice was also well seasoned and tasty. Both full of mixed vegetables and not too oily.
Ended up being nearly $60 CAD but this was pretty reasonable due to the cost of everything else in Iceland.
Thank you for welcoming us warmly. Would re-visit if ever in...
Read moreThis place is truly exceptional. It shines in three key areas, namely phenomenal taste with flavors that are fresh, very reasonably priced for Iceland, and also healthy as well. I would have come here more days if I hadn’t discovered it on my last day in Iceland. They even write on the menu how they only use olive oil, and you can really appreciate the freshness of the food. They also have 20% off the menu if you come on a Wednesday, which we happen to get lucky with as that was the day we came here. Service is great as well. The people here are very nice. I will also say that there is another Asian vegan restaurant that I tried during my time in Iceland called vegan world peace, which is in downtown Reykjavík, which is also nice though their prices are also much higher likely due to their central location. Personally, I think both are solid, though I don’t mind driving a little extra to save money when you’re getting...
