On our honeymoon my wife and I had just finished landmannalauger and due to the time trying to find something to eat was proving difficult. However as I drove my wife found this little food truck. She called an order in and we arrived there just at closing time. We were greeted by and extremely friendly couple and had a little chat etc about where we had been. The owner said he knew a guy from Scotland (I’m Scottish) I fell for it his name was Scott 😂. As we drove they were closing up and I felt bad that had maybe been an inconvenience to their schedule. We parked up and began eating I had burger and fries my wife had fish. The food was beautifully cooked and prepared but the fries OMG!!! Possibly thee best fries I have ever eaten. If you’re in the area looking for a friendly service and good reasonable priced food hit them up. I would definitely eat...

Best Fish&Chips tried so far! Unfortunately I do not have the pictures because we ate it all so fast (we were very hungry ahaha) but trust me, if you are around, come and try it! It was very tasty, the fish was soft and melting into the mouth; chips crispy and delicious. They offered us couple of sauces with it, tartare and pink sauce both very good (the pink is typical Icelandic, they told us!) Owners were locals and super friendly (:

It is a truck, so take away only. They have couple of tables just outside, however if you have a car just few metres down there’s a nice spot in front of the river where you can...

Phenomenal! Went here twice in 2 days! The people at Hekla were super friendly and the food was out of this world! The fish and chips were outrageous. The fish was flaky and fresh with a beautifully seasoned batter. The fries were crisp on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside, and had a great seasoning as well. The cheeseburger was simple perfection. Fresh meat, perfectly cooked, with the right proportion of toasted bun to patty to veggies. If you’re in the area, you will not...

This place has limited hours but amazing food. I had the surf and turf burger and the wife had the fish and chips. The best food we've had in Iceland so far. The food truck is right near the river. You can take the food, walk down there and have a peaceful meal with beautiful scenery. The couple running the food truck are very friendly and definitely easy to have an excellent conversation with about the area or anything. This guy knows what he's doing with his sauces and combinations.

Awesome food truck. Around 2500KR for a dish. Local owners. Worth a stop! Delicious! We got Fish and Chips and Surf and Turf. Fish is flavorful and not too heavy on the batter, and not at all greasy. Tartar sauce seems to be homemade and fresh. Burgers are well flavored. Fries are crispy and also have good seasoning. Portions are generous.

We loved our fish and chips. The batter isn’t crispy, a different style than I’m used to, but we devoured it! The cod was fresh and prepared fast. The sauces are SO GOOD! More so the gentleman and lady running this food truck were so friendly. While we were waiting a neighbourhood cat came over to visit us, how can you go wrong.
