This place was recommended by our hotel. When we arrived, it was not busy. We were seated promptly. When the server came to the table, she was extremely rude and short with her answers. She was very put off by our questions and appeared quite annoyed that we didn’t already know the menu on our own. When asked a question, she responded “it’s in there,” and pointed to the menu. When asked her opinion about two menu options, she responded “I hate that question, I don’t know”. Her energy was negative as though she hates being there and having to speak to us. The food was decent (both had the fish of the day). I have never had a server speak to me in such a dismissive manner. We would have ordered alcohol, bread, dessert but she never came back to the table to check in once the food was delivered. Bad experience and I would not recommend and would never return to this...

Great Service, Average Food, High Prices

We drove to landnam for dinner and left with mixed feelings. The service was excellent, from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. The attentive and accommodating nature of the staff added a special touch to our evening, creating a welcoming ambiance that enhanced our dining experience. However, we found the food to be average (although my friend loved the horse meat tenderness ) and the prices to be high considering the quality. While the service and atmosphere were great, the food and pricing fell short of...

We (4 people) went into this restaurant hoping for good food. I underestimated how amazing the food was. It’s a shame I can only give it 5 stars. It deserves 6. We ordered 3x fish of the day (07.07.2025, Cod) and one premium Burger. The fish was served with caviar. A culture shock for us foreigners. This was the best Cod we had had in a decade. Next we ordered dessert. Warm chocolate cake with ice cream. A makeshift lava cake but with a different name. The whole restaurant was a bit pricey but it was definitely worth it. Best...

Everything I ate in Iceland day one 🇮🇸 Eating Icelandic food for the first time - here’s a recap from my press trip in West Iceland last May (previous sponsor but this isn’t part of the deliverables) First day exploring around Snæfellsnes Peninsula: * Borgarnes: It took an hour’s drive from Reykjavík to the Settlement Center in Borgarnes, a town in West Iceland! There’s a restaurant onsite, and to kick off the foodie week, we tried - a sample of plokkfiskur (traditional Icelandic fish stew) - fish soup - horse fillet with jus - roast lamb with root vegetables Fast forward an hour’s drive past STUNNING rugged landscapes to @hotelbudir! We checked into this beautiful accommodation for the night - an award winning hotel known for its charming scenery and gourmet restaurant! The rooms are rustic, the food was delicious and the private dining room was IDYLLIC. I mean… look at the view from the window?! We had: - Beef carpaccio with Parmesan, truffle mayonnaise and hazelnut - Lamb fillet with truffle potato and grilled onions with oyster mushroom - Chocolate fondant with salted caramel and white chocolate ice cream I’m still in disbelief that it’s so light past midnight here in the spring?! See you in day two! @seafood_iceland @inspiredbyiceland #iceland #icelandicfood #iceland🇮🇸 #minivlog #icelandroadtrip #westiceland #icelandnature #snaefellsnes #borgarnes #snaefellsnes #snaefellsnespeninsula #icelandscape #icelandfoods #icelandicfood #visiticeland #discovericeland #exploreiceland #guidetoiceland #everydayiceland #travelreel #travelreels #seafood #fish #lamb #everydayiceland

If you are looking fancy you will be put in a nice restaurant, if you come back from a hike you will be placed in another restaurant, atmosphere make me feel back to the second world war when the Jewish had to wear a yellow start and couldn't take the same bus or be place with in a restaurant with German people... Most of the server are taking care of the customer in another restaurant while you are left alone and have to stair at them 10 min for finally making them feel uncomfortable The food was really good, thanks to the cooks.
