recently visited Gismat Arabic Restaurant and ordered their Mandi, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst Mandi I've ever had. I had high expectations, but the dish fell short in several aspects.
Taste and Flavor: The biryani lacked the authentic flavors that I usually associate with this dish. The rice seemed overcooked and had a mushy texture, and the spices were not balanced well, resulting in a rather bland and unappetizing taste.
Quality of Ingredients: I was disappointed with the quality of ingredients used in the Mandi. The meat seemed tough and chewy, and I also noticed a lack of fresh herbs and aromatic spices that are essential for a flavorful Mandi.
Portion Size: The portion size was adequate, but considering the taste and quality, I believe the price was too high. It didn't justify the overall dining experience.
Service: The service was slow, and it took quite a while for the biryani to be served. Additionally, the staff didn't seem attentive to the needs of the customers, which further added to the disappointment.
Ambience: worst
I sincerely hope that gismat takes these points into consideration and works on improving the quality of their biryani. As a food enthusiast, I believe that the potential for a fantastic Mandi is there, but the execution needs significant improvement.
I'm willing to give this restaurant another chance if I see positive changes in the future. But for now, I cannot recommend their biryani based on my recent visit.
Please note that this feedback is meant to be constructive, and I hope it helps the restaurant identify areas for improvement. I encourage others to share their honest experiences as well, as it can lead to better dining experiences...

Read moreNot so good place to enjoy with family. Ambience was average. Space was good. It didn't feel like im sitting in a mandi. It was more like a dhaba. It was too crowdy when I visited this place and there were only 1 to 2 servers for the whole restaurant who were managing all the customers at a time. I had to remind the servers a couple of things 3 to 4 times.
Servers are always trying to send off customers as and when they complete eating as they have to fill in other customers. They are least concerned about whether you want to stay back and order something else.
Food was average. We tried mixed platter and fish mandi. Mixed platter had 4 to 6 types of starters, which were again of average taste. Mandi was just fine.
Prices were on border line just like in any other mandi.
Pros: Spacious
Cons: Average taste Bad...
