After several failed attempts, I finally got a chance to grab a cup of refreshing coffee at Kumbakonam Degree Coffee on Children’s Park Road. Every time I happened to travel on that stretch, I used to find the shop closed, so this visit felt like a small victory.

The shop itself is quite small and simple, but don’t let the size fool you — it serves some of the best filter coffee I’ve ever had. Rich in flavor and aroma, the coffee truly lives up to the reputation of authentic Kumbakonam Degree Coffee. Alongside coffee, they also serve a few light snacks, making it a perfect quick stop for a mid-day break.

One thing I found interesting is that they also sell freshly ground coffee powder, which is great for those who want to recreate the taste at home. During my visit, I noticed a steady stream of regulars and new visitors stopping by, which clearly shows the popularity of the place.

The only downside is parking — it's located in a busy area and finding a proper parking spot can be a bit of a hassle, especially during peak hours. That said, the quality of the coffee makes it worth the effort.
