Read moreMain reason why I am giving 1 Star is not for the quality/taste of food and service. But for a pretty bad experience to the point that we probably won't go there again. Ordered special curd rice and it was just average. Problem is, under the name of god's (Govinda) as their restaurant name, they are doing some shady business. Menu card had the price of special curd rice as 85 rupees. Shocked to see that we were charged 110 rupees in the bill. I mean the guy who took the order could have told us about this in advance. They also could have told us about the quantity and for us to get an idea that 1 can serve 2 persons. We ended up wasting food due to this and I felt very bad. When I asked about this in the bill to a person wearing saffron dress, who calls everyone "Prabhu", first denied that special curd rice was not charged as 85 rupees in the menu. When I showed him this in the menu, he very rudely responded that it is what he told me earlier. What a liar ! Such a shame that this is what we have inside a very great temple. He could have just told me sorry for this error in the menu and that it will get corrected instead of being so cheap. Point is not about the money here but about ethics. Be ware, check the price of each item before ordering food from this restaurant. I will also not advise my family members and friends to go to this restaurant. There are much better restaurants like...
Read moreIt was a wonderful day for us... I am devotee of iskcon mayapur and fan of Kolkata Iskcon's govinda's but for academic reasons I have to stay tirupati nowadays. 21/10/23 is the birthday of my friend. All friends was coming with the birthday girl to temple to get blessings of giridhariraj. And it was a surprise gift to her to take a rajbhog thali at govinda's...we all were 1st time at tirupati Govinda's. A divine atmosphere in govinda's because of background song which is voice of prabhupada and the wall art and mild lighting. Staffs are so humble and well behaved. In reception, the prabhuji is also very humble. South Indian, north Indian, Chinese, combo breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, beverages are available here. Must must must try each and everything atleast once. I am sure you will come then again and again for that prasadamlike food. so visit temple and must go to govinda's. Now I am the another fan of govinda's tirupati. Sufficient with reasonable price. N.B.- we the devotees are teased with those words like " veg biryani! What is that!?" My friends are hard-core non vegetarian. They confessed for the 1st time in their life towards me that they amused by the veg biryani! The enjoying the biryani and told that they suggest people to try that...the biryani is included with North Indian rajbhog thali and we took that thali at that day....
