I'll keep my review short and in points: Ambience: It's in a decent location. The interiors are simple and neat, too. The 3 yellow filament bulbs in one corner, were evidence the owner wanted to make a "difference" in the feel of the room, but didn't wanna experiment much. It has a few books in-house that would be a good pastime if you're alone, which probably you already are. The seating is spacious and comfy, not so comfy that you'll want to come back again and again, tho. It has a decent porch outside with oper air seating with lots of greens and few lonely mosquitoes around to keep you company. Prices: Not cha-ching! Decent pricing, I expected the cook to make the food as good as the menu sounded. However, if you're someone who has high ambitions and great expectations, prepare to be let down. It happens. Taste: We ordered a Dragon Chicken Soup(lots and lots of sauce in it), Water melon mojito (just plain flavored syrup and one tiny bottle of soda in it), penne pasta (Maggi's pazzta white sauce with a few pieces with dried tomatoes and chicken), Chicken stragnof (Rice, chicken in white sauce). Extremely average taste-wise, but makes up for pics on your Instagram, cos... lonely forever. Service: Well, the manager was very much busy with his PubG, which he didn't bother to use with headphones. I wasn't rooting for his team anyway. The waiters mostly loiter in a corner waiting for you to call them. I wish, I HADN'T SEEN THE WAY THEY MADE MY MOJITO, TBH. No use of gloves or anything made me feel special. Haathon ka taste ayega khane me! GOOD LUCK looking up their GSTIN. It's as fake as India TV's conspiracy theories. It is as fake as MJ's nose. The numbers added up as good as the GDP of India. So, bring on your inner PUBG gamer and lonely life. Help the manager guy win, he might even throw you a free meal or...
Read moreIm saddened to write this note what i experienced at this place, frankly ambience n the set up was up to the criterion but the other side of the story was the ignorant food making and the way it was served was quite dissapointing ,i have ordered for watermellon smile which was under mocktail section, suprisingly he gave me a watermellon juice and when asked he said this is how its made,im a avid foodlover and i know the fact that soda or a sprite is basic to add in any mocktails,he argued and he was reluctant to answer and address the concerns that i came up and for a thick shake he gave us normal banana smoothie which was an ignorant act n lack of knowledge how to do, request the management to upgrade with professional chefs and to adapt to learn receipes for the items in menu, my suggestion for the food lovers is ,go for the this place to hangout with pals but for drinks n smoothies i dont encourage.not a great place for beverages n drinks. Dear Owner, I dint get an option to reply to your comment ,so im continuing here in this section. Adding a strand of mint leaves at the end is your answer? and do you think this what makes mocktail a strong drink by the way did you ensure the drink was tasting right before serving?1st learn the receipe and know how a good mocktails tastes,i suggest you to get good awarness on drinks n shakes instead just responding and giving vague clarificaion about the menu and where the watermellon smile was and which coulmn that is in,our comments is to enhance the quality what people normally look out for,im aint seeking your response here or what you did that time, please take it in a right way to give better service for...
Read moreMonk's kitchen is a sight for sore eyes in Vijayawada. The suave interiors and the quirky murals on the wall, it is indeed a great place to catch up and hangout. I assumed (wonder why) it would be a Chinese restaurant, but it is not! We ordered Prawn Rice Bowl, Egg fried rice with Cashew chicken for the mains. We also ordered Triple Berry and Banana Ka Shake smoothies. The smoothies were alright, I expected the banana smoothie to have a bit more banana taste, but it tasted a bit diluted in flavour. It still tasted good but it could have been better. Same with the triple berry smoothie. The food was decent, it was not too good but not bad either. Rice with a curry, how wrong can anyone go. Verdict : 3/5 for the food, 4/5 for the ambience. Would definitely go back, maybe order something different this time. Added bonus: they have...
