I haven’t visited the place yet, but a 4.2 rating from over 18,000 reviewers clearly reflects its popularity.
I’ve also watched several YouTube videos by prominent content creators, all of whom have shared positive word-of-mouth about the place.
This eatery is on my all-time wish list and ranks among the top three vegetarian food destinations I hope to visit and experience someday.
I would need to travel 2,000 kilometers one way to reach this place, but I believe it would be well worth the journey—both in terms of time and money.
I truly admire the simplicity of the setting, where hundreds of people enjoy their meals and show their patronage. This, in itself, feels like a divine blessing upon the establishment.
Another remarkable aspect is the wide assortment of over 24 varieties—including curries, dry vegetables, sweets, and generous servings of unlimited rice and sambar.
This "unlimited" concept continues to resonate with people and is a major crowd-puller.

Read moreThe famous hotel of kakinada known for it's veg platter! The hotel is inspired from the telugu film song vivaha bojanambu of maya bazar movie! The number of dishes for normal meals is 9 and the cost is 160. On the other hand, the number of dishes for the special meals is 20 and the cost is 250. Also rice, powders, sambhar, rasam, kunda perugu (curd in pot) and majjiga perugu (khadi) is served along with.
You can't eat much of any but it's wise to target the curries especially that of panner. The way to eat more curries is using roties and not rice so that you can do justice to 250 rupees meal. Sweets can be kept at last so that you can enjoy the real veg platter of curries and different types of rice varieties. Any item is served as many times as you want including papad & sweets!
Overall good experience, must be tried at least once. The service here can be improved in kakinada. The subbayya hotel in vishakapatnam serves better by explaining each dish and a server staying near each table. That scenario is less observed in kakinada may be due to heavy demand and rush. Whatever said, the quality of food is the best here!!
The ambience is okeyish and the atmosphere feels little congested.
(Also all three hotel of subbayya and his two sons are side by side. As many local friends said that, almost all are same but the middle one or the second one is better of all, we headed to that...

Now times have been changed and the split between brothers have changed the authenticity of the subbayya hotel taste and the brand value. I have eaten before, present and even tried from Bangalore as well. Bangalore one was good and later this one in Kakinada is okay ish. I have ordered for take way of butta bhojanam. The quantity has been drastically reduced if compared to Bangalore ones and the previous experience and taste also has deterioration as i mentioned earlier but it's eatable and still good. Pappu Mango, Punukulu curry and Sambhar is good in taste. The veg pulao/biryani tastes good and pulihora is also good. Sweet as usual it is maintained same quality and taste. Curd is excellent and i liked it very much. Rice quantity and taste is everything good. It is perfect andhra vegetarian meal and taste here is stil good. Packing and parcels are properly packed with hygiene conditions. Value for money, visitable place with family, friends and alone too. Seating is good too along with air conditioning if required.
