Had full english breakfast. It was god awful. Avoid.
Response to the owner (as Gmaps doesn't allow further replies):
Okay, the baked beans were way too sweet and lacked salt and flavor. The mash was too solid, dry, under seasoned and flavorless. Full english mash should have a thick goopy consistency, but what was served was too dry. Y'all are charging a hefty amount yet the sausage was chicken sausage. I kind of expect it to be pork sausage since it's a full English but ok chicken chalta hai. I should've asked. Still, the sausage should be fried properly but what i was served had no caramelization whatsoever. The slab of chicken was bone dry and it made a distinct "clink" noise when i dropped it on the plate. It was like a rubbery brick. The chicken too was severely under seasoned and it felt like something a caveman would eat. The eggs were good but again under seasoned: it's not that complicated. Just eggs, salt and black pepper. That's it. At least they were runny and not bone dry. FYI, I don't eat too much salt and I'd like to think that i take less than average salt. Even then, both i and the person i was with found everything to be under seasoned and flavorless. The bread was not toasted. It was just regular old mediocre brown bread without butter. They took like 1 hour to make that extremely disappointing meal. Also where is bacon? Full English should have bacon. I don't like to waste food so I finished most of it. It was painful. The person i was with couldn't finish their meal.
The redbull was top notch though.
I appreciate the owner's offer for the free meal. That's a nice gesture but I'm afraid I'm never setting foot in the cafe ever again. I don't think there's anything that can be improved. The only solution is to...
Read moreReally thought I’ll give them another chance after their Dighalipukhuri fiasco ( look at my review of their place there I gave one ⭐️ ) Place - dirty , the plants on the steps are bone dry , the furniture all coated with dust , cigarette ash fallen on the furniture from days is clearly visible, the road side windows are caked with dust ( i understand but this looks like weeks / months of dust). Service - better than their d’pukhuri place. Food - you will call me mad to try the English bfast again but I just wanted to see how different this is from their other place. Bread - did not eat Mashed potatoes- seriously they cannot make it !! Tepid and bland Mushroom - cold and salty Baked beans - warm and out of a tin so really can’t make it great Chicken - hard and appears to have been just tossed on a plate and served ( from yesterday night ) Sausage - a bit better than the other place also just warm Overall a sad 😞 place to eat the bfast Coffee - was the only saving grace had 3 cups Final verdict - do not try their English bfast it’s a disaster. Maybe their evening menu is more tasty but two different outlets making this sad bfast deserves a thought and change … if...
Read more11th Avenue has always been a go to for us. We were elated at its opening in Beltola and visited frequently since we loved it's food. But for the past few years the experiences have not been at par with what their standards were before. A few notes after our dinner tonight- • We had to call on the servers for them to take our order. • It took them considerable time to serve us. The chicken platter was disappointing because of the dry chicken and the portion sizes. • The pepperoni pizza arrived close to an hour after we ordered and didn't taste great because it was clearly undercooked and underseasoned. • They brought us the bill in a hurry without confirming if we wanted to place further orders or informing us about when they take their last order. • They started sweeping up the place before we could leave. • Last but not the least, the power went off while we were dining (we were the only female customers). When we inquired about generator backup, we were given a vague response about the generator not being refilled with oil.
Now we understand that they needed to wind down and close up - however that impacted their service and food quality...
