Tilve Bhojanalay — Restaurant in Bandora

This is a place which I found on the internet. When I looked through the directions for this place, it seemed to be quite strange and I thought that the location was wrong coz it took me into a residential area on the outskirts of Ponda city. Looking to reach at the destination, I found a board of the restaurant. The board was put up in a old house with a huge mango tree. It didn't seem to be quite a good looking from the outside. I just when to check if it was open, and to my shocked this restaurant was flooded with almost 50-70 people. We had to wait for about 30 kins to get our seat. You have a bar too here where you can enjoy chilled beer. The restaurant is very very reasonable at its price. We ordered for tisri (shell fish) and chonak (Big red snapper). Photos of both the dishes is also uploaded. Check them out. The taste of both the dishes was awesome. We later ordered a special fish thali which cost just 150 bucks. It has prawns curry, prawns sukkha and nugli fish fry in it. That was also very tasty. On the whole, tilvay bhojanalaya is a value for money place. We were so impressed by the taste that on our way back, we again had our lunch at the same place. PS : If you visit this place during the summers ( April - June), the restaurant has a huge mango trees. You can pluxh few mangoes from the tree and enjoy great mangoes too after your meal. MUST VISIT PLACE FOR ALL...

The best place to have a thali in the evening for just Rs.120/-

It's a humble place with clean ambience. It's ambience is split into parts - inner and outer seating. The inner seating was clean and bright with the lights. The service was fast and very hospitable. The order taker and the server were warm and welcoming with their humbleness.

Had order for a fish thali and it included - one fry fish (mackerel), fish curry, one veggie, salad, pickle, rice, chapati, and solkadhi. Every item had a unique taste and was very satisfying.

Had also ordered for a kingfish thali, which was for Rs.240/- and was worth every penny for the taste and freshness of the fish. The other elements were as same as the regular fish thali, except the dry prawns chutney added to this thali.

Also had ordered for a portion of rawa fried bombil (Bombay ducks) for Rs.220/-. The quality and portion was mind blowing. It was cooked to perfection as the outside was crisp and the inside was soft as the fish was super fresh.

Would surely visit this place again on my next...
