I really have a very mixed feeling for this restaurant cum cafe. Their efforts on the interior and ambience and decorations is really good. Even the service is nice too. But I think the most important part is the food, and since the other factors are great, you do expect the food to be at par at least. But, I really am disappointed with the food, I mean don't take me wrong, it's not bad, but keeping the factor the name and the reputation, I do expect much better from them. Although the food looks good but the taste is not as good as that. The drink and soup was good. But the chicken in all the dishes tasted weirdly dry. The burger was okay. And moreover I can't understand why there is so much addition of nuts and cashew nuts is literally everything. Many people are allergic to nuts, they should at least ask before add that to everything. And even those I ain't allergic, but having nuts in everything was not very tasteful or appealing for me. Read moreThe Second Wife Restro Café in Burdwan offers an unforgettable dining experience with flavors that truly stand out. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and welcoming service set the tone for a great meal.
We started with the American corn salt and pepper, which had the perfect balance of crispiness and spices. Every bite was packed with flavor, making it a great way to kick off the meal.
For the main course, we tried the Cheese Butter Naan and Cheese Butter Kulcha, and they were absolutely delicious. Soft, buttery, and generously filled with cheese, they paired beautifully with the Maharani Murg. The rich and aromatic gravy had just the right blend of spices, creating a perfect harmony with the bread.
Every dish was prepared with great care, and the attention to detail in flavors made the meal truly enjoyable. The service was attentive, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience. If you're looking for a place that serves amazing food with great ambiance, The Second Wife Restro Café is definitely...
Read moreAmbience at roof top is spot on and the staff is courteous and nice! but unfortunately the Italian cuisines ain't!
I mean, it was aglio e olio "CHOW MEIN" at best , not Pasta. Pathetic!
Upon asking what pasta will be used, we were told Spaghetti but - it was just noodles. All we had was overpriced chowmein.
Suggestion: you could ask the customer whether they'd like penne or farfalle and clarify that you use noodles for Spaghetti. Although it isn't really part of aglio e oglio, but really? chowmein? If you had to use normal noodles, at least some thick hakka might have salvaged the situation, but chow mein is really unexpected!
If you really want to use spaghetti - at this price point, you should be able to invest in Barilla Pasta or any other...
