Staff: 0/10. Food: 10/10
The food here is absolutely delicious, but the experience was a disaster because of the staff, specifically the receptionist.
I had booked the food and a specific rooftop spot for the ocassion of Aiburobhat, 2 days in advance. Upon reaching the restaurant on the day(18th Jan, 2025) of the celebration, we see that my spot has been provided to another party who apparently made their booking on the very day in the evening. Imagine the disappointment.
I had mentioned multiple times to the receptionist while booking that Ashirbaad arrangements need not be made and that the food can be served directly. The staff did eventually provide us a different rooftop spot, but ended up making Ashirbaad arrangements twice, thereby delaying the food.
If all of these inconveniences weren't enough already, we get to know that the a particular fish item, the order for which I had placed 2 days prior, is no longer available, as apparently there have been many orders of the same throughout the day. THEN WHAT'S THE FU*KING POINT OF ACCEPTING BOOKINGS OF THE FOOD AND SPOT IN ADVANCE FOR AN AUSPICIOUS OCCASION, IF WE ARE TO BE TREATED ON A FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVED BASIS ON ALL ASPECTS?!
On top of that, all of the food items were served on cheap ceramic tableware instead of Kansha. At that point I had given up and didn't even want to know the reason behind it.

Read moreWent for a festive family lunch to "Too Much"..and to our delight we were handed over a Durga Puja Special Menu..so we settled for a combination of Fish Diamond Fry and Prawn Cutlet for starters. The fish diamond fry was considerably alright, but the prawn cutlet sprinkled with a slice of lemon and savoured with kasundi was a hit with most of us.For the main dish we were suggested the Basanti pulao and Chicken DakBunglow and for some of us who are fish lovers we tried their Bhapa Ilish with saada bhat...both the chicken with a whole egg and soft potato and the fish dish, with a gentle hint of shorshe were the show stoppers..infact because of the ample quantity we had to doggy pack the pulao and the amshotto khejur kishmish chutney, which will be devoured by us by dinner time...the grand finale though was the payesh..which had a creamy consistency..just the way I like it.Overall it was value for money for sure.We also found out from the ever smiling servers thatvthe menu for the normal days is even more varied, so we shall certainly revisit this cosy restaurant with asthetic decor and super choice of soft eclectic music which is rare in the city of Burdwan...looking forward to another...
