We recently visited this quaint little cafe tucked away in a peaceful corner, and I must say it’s a bit of a mixed bag. If I were to rate the vibe alone, I’d probably give it a 5-star rating without hesitation. But unfortunately, the overall experience took a hit due to the food and service.
Let’s start with the good part. The atmosphere here is absolutely delightful! The place is beautifully maintained with lots of greenery, a rustic touch in the interiors, and a serene outdoor seating area with roof huts and charming decors all around. What truly stole my heart was the little garden with ducks roaming around freely. They added such a calming, countryside vibe to the entire place.
Now coming to the food and service — and that’s where things started to go downhill. We ordered Chicken Sensation Momos, Cheesy Bliss Fries, and an Iced Latte. The momos were actually good, juicy and flavorful and we really enjoyed them. But that’s about where the food appreciation ends.
The iced latte came unsweetened and was extremely strong. We had to request for sugar separately, which felt odd for a cold coffee, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium cafe experience.
Then came the fries and they were honestly a letdown. They were supposed to be “cheesy bliss” fries, but there was barely any cheese and the flavor fell completely flat. To make things worse, they didn’t serve ketchup with it and we had to request that too. It just felt like basic expectations were not being met.
And here’s the most disappointing part, despite all these service hiccups, they still applied service charge to our bill. It felt unfair, especially when we had to ask for essentials like sugar and ketchup ourselves. There was no warmth or attentiveness from the staff either.
To sum it up, this cafe is a wonderful place if you’re just looking to relax in a pretty setting or spend some time in a peaceful garden. It’s Instagram-worthy for sure, and the ducks will melt your heart. But if you're going there with hopes of a good meal and smooth service, you might want to lower your expectations.
Great vibes, disappointing food...
Read moreMy husband and I stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for new places to dine at. The restaurant has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. A unique aspect of the place is its lovely garden-like setting, with the presence of cats, ducks, chickens, and more, roaming around, adding to the charm without disturbing the patrons. Naturally, this pet-friendly place is a delight for animal lovers.
We tried different dishes and this is what we found: Chicken Cheese Balls: Slightly spicy but absolutely delicious. Butter Garlic Prawns: Generously portioned and very tasty. Hazelnut Latte: Well made and perfectly balanced; neither coffee nor hazelnut flavors overpowered each other. Bakeyard Special Chopsuey: Well-flavored, and good quantity. Classic Chicken Steak meal: Strongly seasoned, and perfectly complemented by mildly flavoured mashed potatoes and well-seasoned vegetables. They also serve it with herbed rice as an option instead of mashed potatoes. Tiramisu: Delicious and good serving provided. Rocher Ice Cream: Simple and nice, but the sprinkles felt unnecessary.
We found the staff to be a bit slow at times, but very pleasant and helpful when available. The owners are wonderful, easy to talk to, and open to feedback and suggestions.
Overall, the food was great; the quality and quantity of the food were worth the prices, which were reasonable. The serene and pleasant atmosphere, with soft music, minimal noise, and Wi-Fi, makes it a perfect place to sit and work, or just indulge in good conversation with your favourite people, while enjoying great food. It is a must-visit for a delightful dining experience with family, friends...
Read moreWe went there on our friend's reference and regretted it to the core. It's a big NO if you are vegetarian. I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience at this restaurant. I had specifically ordered a vegetarian burger, but to my shock, what was served turned out to be non-vegetarian. As someone who strictly avoids non-veg food, this was not just an error—it was completely unacceptable.
When I confronted the staff about the issue, instead of taking accountability, they casually dismissed it by claiming it was a paneer burger. However, the taste and texture clearly indicated otherwise. There was no apology, no effort to understand the seriousness of the mistake, and certainly no professionalism.
Adding to the frustration, the service was extremely poor. We had to wait far too long for the food to arrive, and the staff seemed inattentive and disorganized throughout the visit.
This kind of negligence, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions and food ethics, is not just bad service—it’s a breach of trust. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially vegetarians or those with specific...
