Infested with drunk unruly customers. Not a place for families any more...
This restaurant does not deserve two stars. We are regulars at this place and are no strangers to ‘fine dining’. In fact we’ve been regular customers from the week 2 of its start in Basaveshwaranagar a few years ago. As usual, I went to this place for dinner with my wife and chose to sit in the (glass covered) balcony on the first floor (First floor is supposed to be the place for families to enjoy dinner and there is a separate bar on the ground floor for other type of customers). Just when our order arrived, a group of men who were obviously drunk- and who kept drinking at a pretty steady phase started causing trouble. They were shouting at the top of their voice and when their language got filthy (boli@#$, Soole@!#, amma, akka* etc.) we asked the captain (Mr Krishna) to keep them under control. But to our surprise he was arrogant and unhelpful, he asked us to “eat or leave”.! He also mentioned that he cannot tell the customers to behave, and that we were free to match the sound and the language of the drunk customers if we wanted to! It was obvious that he was more interested in the money they were spending or the tip they may be paying, otherwise I could hardly think of circumstances under which diners would deserve this kind of treatment.
This is not a one-time incident. We have complained about the unruly customers on first floor to the staff many a times but they don’t seem to care. This shows complete lack of management and good sense. We left the place in the middle of the dinner, after paying up. We are never going back their again. If you want a nice enjoyable atmosphere, uninterrupted by drunk-unruly customers and boorish behavior, don't go to Cave ‘n’ Dine. You'll be as...

I tasted Lemon Chicken, Chicken Manchurian, Kulcha with Chicken Kolaphuri, Biryani and a Desert.
Lemon Chicken (4.5/5) The chicken was very well cooked with that rich golden texture and the flavors were in another level. I was lucky to have this delicious dish today.
Chicken Manchurian (3.5/5) The chicken was cooked well and the flavors were rich with that garlic rich texture but the main drawback was the chicken was running out of flavors. The flavors were rich outside but on the inside it's only cooked chicken.
Kulcha With Chicken Kolhapuri (4/5) The Kulcha was crisp with not much of softness. The gravy was a spicy piece of cake, very well cooked and the chicken was kinda tough to eat. I would suggest to order the boneless chicken rather than the normal one. At the first bite you get that smoke texture taste and that's the game changer here.
Biryani (3.5/5) The rice was cooked well and the flavors were rich too but I've eaten better one's before. The chicken was blended in with the flavors and rice had that light smokey blend in.
Desert - Cherry Top something (3.5/5) The desert had rich dry fruits all over and a good desert to end the spicy venture.
Overall (4/5) The place is good, staff are polite and yeah, money is worth for the taste...
Read moreI visited this restaurant today with my family, and it was a very disappointing experience. The food quality was terrible, and the service was extremely slow. The person who took our order seemed completely absent-minded and uninterested. We had to wait almost 10 minutes between each item being served — and it wasn’t even busy, only about four tables were occupied.
To make things worse, we weren’t given basic things like plates or spoons until we asked multiple times. It felt like they just didn’t care about customer service at all.
The most unacceptable part was the billing. When I checked the bill, I noticed they had charged for Mutton Masala (₹440) instead of Mutton Pudina Masala (₹380), which I had actually ordered. When I questioned it, the manager casually said both are the same price. Only after I insisted on seeing the menu did he acknowledge the mistake and corrected the bill.
Overall, it was a terrible experience — bad service, bad food, and questionable billing. I do not recommend this...
