Earthen Delicacies - Serving You Tradition — Restaurant in Bengaluru

We were on the way back home after visiting a newly opened mall, and were running late for dinner. As we were planning what to do next, we passed by Earthen Delicacies (ED), which instantly got out attention with its warm vibes. A quick search on google showed very good rating and we decided to reverse back to the place and give it a try.

First impression, ED is a small warm and cosy place. We were the only ones in the restaurant and had the luxury of choosing where we wanted to be seated. The vibes of the restaurant were very 'Earthen' and it's a place where I could spend 2 hours easily.

Do soak in the ambience while you here without rushing for 'in & out' service. (The clay water jug, bamboo salt & pepper shaker, bamboo ceiling lights and quite a few things to make the ambience warm)

A quick glance at the menu and there is almost something for everyone.

Ours was a vegetarian fanfare and we stuck to the recommendations by the staff. Gobi Manchurian Kadhai Paneer Butter Naan + Garlic Naan Alu Paratha Veg. Fried Rice

The outer crust of the manchurian was a bit hard but that did not come in the way of the taste. In fact, except for the fried rice that could have done with a little more seasoning, and the blended chilli in Alu Paratha, we felt the food was spot on (a little towards the spicy side).

Service was pretty fast since we were the only ones when the order was placed. Mid way through our meal, the entire restaurant was already occupied, barring just one table.

The staff were very friendly and did engage in casual talk rather than being just need based. And yes, they did check couple of times, if the food was to our liking.

Earthen Delicacies is not just any other restaurant. Its one of those rare places which goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. Everything starting from the food, the decor, the management, has a personal touch to it. I happened to have taken shelter at Earthen Delicacies on a lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon when most of the neighbourhood seemed to be avoiding the roads. Walking into the first floor seating space, I was surprisingly welcomed to the sounds of families with kids happily dining in and clicking pictures. Having chosen my corner, I spent a happy couple of hours sipping a deliciously creamy chicken soup. I was astonished to have discovered such a well-thought and cozy place in this region. Just like the ambiance, their food is delicious as well. I took a take-out that I finally managed to eat 5-6 hours later and the taste was still fresh and delicious. Their ghee rice and mutton roghan josh was yum and packed meticulously in paper containers with thoughtfully placed tiny cartoons and no plastic tapes! My experience of Earthen Delicacies didn't end at the restaurant, it came home to Indiranagar with me. And while I have numerous restaurant options near my home, I know I will be making a trip as far as Thanisandra again some time soon in 2023 for experiencing Earthen Delicacies again..
