Often folks from RR Nagar have complained about the lack of recreational options in the area, and now all of a sudden, many pubs and cafes have sprung up in the area. HighDrate is one such option that is ideal for everyone, as it is spread over multiple floors, each in a different setting and pricing.

SHORT REVIEW: As it was a crowded day, I could not try a lot of items, but whatever I had was amazing. Do not miss out on the Mushroom Sholay, which was one of the best mushroom dishes I’ve had in ages. Also, do note that the rooftop can get quite hot at noon, even though they have the sunshade. Definitely worth a visit. Also note, club rules apply and hence shoes are a must.

DETAILED REVIEW: Had been to their rooftop on one sunny afternoon, as the indoor sections were all full. Due to the heat, ended up ordering a lot of things to drink and hardly a few items to eat. Here’s what I ordered: Hot and Sour Chicken Soup – As a lover of creamy soups, and by virtue of not being a huge fan of Chinese style soups, I found this underwhelming. Grilled Chicken Salad – I love salads, and I love it even more when there are sizeable chunks of whatever is promised, and in this case, there were a lot of chicken chunks, which was great! Drums of Heaven – Perfectly marinated in hot and spicy sauce, this item was a perfect accompaniment to their draught beer. Kalmi Pepper Dry – Although this dish was good, it was a bit too peppery for my liking. But again, would go well with something like beer. Mushroom Sholay – Wow, wow and more wow! I loved this dish so much that I myself emptied 3 plates of this. I love mushrooms, and this dish was made with the perfect blend of spices. Kudos to the chef! Gobi Manchurian – Pretty decent Gobi Manchurian, which is a great accompaniment for cocktails with a sweet base. Paneer Tikka – After the amazing mushroom preparation, I had high hopes on the Paneer dish, but it failed to impress much as it was under-seasoned. Nonetheless, it wasn’t too bad. I skipped main course as I was full with the liquids I consumed, and also because I had to visit another party in the evening. Will definitely come back here some time and try their main course. On the drinks front, I tried: HighDrate Zombie – This is probably their best cocktail on the menu. It consists of a rum base, with flavours of pineapple and orange and hints of apricot and triple sec. Delicious and sure to knock you out! Jampui Hill – This drink too was quite amazing, unlike most other cocktails I have had. It has a dual tequila base with an orange overtone, again with a dash of triple sec. Bull Frog – This is a cocktail that I love to order due to the colour, but never end up finishing it anywhere as they get it horribly wrong. The only place I liked it ever was at Brewsky JP Nagar. The one at HighDrate however, came as a close second, surprisingly. Good job by the mixologist! Tutti Frutti – This is their best mocktail, hands down and comes in a cute tiki mug. My only complaint however with this drink is that there is too much of ice, and hence the quantity is minimal. Try asking them to put lesser ice. However, do not miss this drink. Draught Beer – One among the freshest and undiluted draughts I’ve had in a long time. Kudos!

OVERALL VERDICT: A welcome addition to the scene in RR Nagar, I would definitely visit this place again when I’m in that part of the town. I do wish they served hookah as well though, which would be a...

"High Drate" is a newly opened restro-pub on uttrahali main road, Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The place is located on the main road and its quiet easy to spot. It has mainly 3 floors of seating area, with bar counters and rooftop too.

Dropped down to this place with bunch of friends and choosed to sit on top floor. It has quite good searing area and the music makes it lit. We ordered Kalmi Pepper Dry, Sholay Kebab, Gobhi Manchurian, Drums of Heaven, Bollywood Pizza along with cocktails like White Walker and High Drate Zombie.

Talking about the food, it was the best in had in RR Nagar. The prices which they charge is absolutely justified for the taste and quantity.

Kalmi Kebab was verydelicious and chicken pieces were tender. I would definitely recommend to you to try out this.

Drums of Heaven and Sholay Kebab was also prepared well and good in taste. The chicken pieces were very well marinated and juicy.

Gobhi Manchurian was made perfection to taste and the quantity was also good.

Now coming to the drinks, White Walker was served in a fancy jar and High Drate Zombie was the tallest among all cocktails. Both were extremely good.

The best part which I like of this place, is that they have offers across all drinks on every day, which makes the drinks cheaper.

Located on the uttarahalli main rd, channasandra, RR nagar. You’ll find this contemporary bar and lounge boasting a sensual atmosphere. High-drate is ideal for a group party, corporate meetups or even a happy hour or a night out with friends.

The swanky 3 floor setting comes complete with a 2 floor of indoor cozzy ambiance along with a rooftop area. It is a very informal and simple style yet elegant, composed of wooden chairs and tables at the rooftop

The food experience is not to be missed. The menu is best described as finger food, north Indian, Chinese and includes a wide choice of meat as well as excellent vegetarian options. It features a variety of both small and large plates with locally sourced ingredients. There are small plates and snacks offered including a category of the menu named as bar bites. The food is beautifully presented, always delicious & imaginative, with the appetizers and main course to your liking each time. The drinks are economically priced, they are very well prepared and strong. The drinks here are incredibly well done. Mixology at its best. My favourite drink was the bull frog.
