Disastrous Experience at Kapoor Cafe – A Complete Letdown (1 Star)
I am absolutely appalled by the service and quality at Kapoor Cafe. As a reputed brand, I expected much more, but what I encountered was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that they had absolutely no regard for the basic principles of hospitality or food service.
Firstly, the basics were completely forgotten. When the food finally arrived, they hadn’t even bothered to serve it with proper plates. Instead, the plates were just stacked up and dumped in one place, as if they couldn't care less about the presentation or the experience of their customers. I mean, really? How can a restaurant that calls itself a ‘brand’ forget such fundamental service standards?
And then there was the water – or should I say the lack of it? No one bothered to offer us water, and we had to ask for it repeatedly. It’s such a basic expectation, yet here, it was completely ignored.
As for the food... well, words can hardly describe the horror. We specifically requested less spice, but what we got was a mouth-burning, overly spiced mess that was nearly inedible. If you claim to be a “Punjabi” restaurant, how can you not have a tandoor? That’s a staple of Punjabi cuisine! Yet, here we were, staring at a menu that didn't even feature it. Absolutely disgraceful!
The worst part? When we tried to express our concerns, the manager, who was apparently on his break, came to speak to us. He was calm, and I appreciated his effort to understand the issue. But that’s where it ended. The staff, however, showed a complete lack of professionalism and were rude, dismissive, and gave us an attitude that made the situation even worse. It was like they didn’t even care to resolve the issue or make us feel valued as customers.
In conclusion: If you’re looking for a decent meal, don’t waste your time at Kapoor Cafe. From awful service to subpar food, this was a nightmare of an experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. A massive disappointment for a brand with such a supposed reputation. Zero stars, but I’m forced...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining here, and it was an overall enjoyable experience. The food was truly exceptional, with every dish bursting with flavors that were both rich and well-balanced.
The ambience of the restaurant added to the delightful experience. Whether you're dining with friends or family, the setting provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal.
While the service was not outstanding, it was satisfactory. The staff were courteous and helpful, though there were a few moments where the service was a bit slow. However, the quality of the food and the pleasant surroundings more than made up for these minor hiccups.
Overall, it is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a lovely setting. I will certainly be returning to savor more of their...
Read moreToo costly, and being a South Indian, me and my family couldn’t even complete a single thali priced at ₹1300. While the side dishes were good, the parothas were really the worst. I’ve tried aloo parothas at many restaurants, but I’ve never had such a terrible experience — I had to force myself to eat just because I had already paid for it, and I don’t have words to fully explain that moment of regret, discomfort, and helplessness as we sat there trying to finish something we absolutely didn’t enjoy.
For fellow South Indians like me — if you already have experience with this style of thali, you may give it a try. Otherwise, my honest suggestion is a big no. Instead of going for the full thali, try ordering individual dishes. In my opinion, this restaurant is not suited for South Indian taste...
