Karavali Lunch Home in Kumaraswamy Layout is a popular spot for authentic Mangalorean and South Indian cuisine, particularly known for its seafood dishes. The restaurant is modest in appearance, but it consistently delivers flavorful food that resonates with coastal Karnataka traditions.
Key highlights include their fish thali, bangude (mackerel) fry, Kundapur chicken, and kori rotti, all prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional spices. Customers often praise the prawn and crab curries for their authentic flavors. Vegetarian options like the vegetable curries and boiled rice with sambhar also receive positive feedback, making it a versatile dining option.
The pricing is affordable, with meals typically costing around ₹500 for two people. While the ambiance is simple and functional, the restaurant compensates with efficient service and a homely vibe. It is particularly appreciated by families and individuals seeking hearty, no-frills meals.

After that I didn't even say single word just paid the bill and came out of that hotel.

Read moreFamily run business. Has grown quite a bit from when I started visiting. Dinner and lunch are busy hours, so plan ahead. Stays open till 11pm for dinner, lunch ends at about 4:30pm. Chicken Ghee Roast is a must try but has a little too much of colour. Prices have gone up slightly from before, but nothing to complain. Costs about 500-600 for a lavish meal for two. You can try the Thali and a Coke for under 150rs. Definitely a joint to frequent if you miss rice and fish delicacies. Also, best chapati in the layout. The owner and his family are sweet people. And will deliver directly if you call them and have a sizeable order. You can also call and arrange for a...
