Hilal Restaurant in Shivaji Nagar is nothing short of legendary when it comes to authentic Muslim-style non-vegetarian food. What sets this place apart, beyond the exceptional food, is the heart of the owner. Every single day, before even opening for regular customers, the owner donates 100 plates of biryani to the needy. It’s a gesture that shows the soul of this place—and only after this noble deed does the restaurant begin its daily business.
Now coming to the food—if you're a non-veg lover, this place will feel like paradise. Their mutton biryani is rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. The seekh kebabs are perfectly spiced and juicy, pairing beautifully with their fragrant ghee rice. The restaurant is always bustling, and rightfully so—because quality and taste here are unmatched.
Hygiene-wise, Hilal Restaurant stands out in Shivaji Nagar. Despite the rush, food handling is clean and precise, making it one of the most hygienic eateries in the locality.
And a special shoutout to their desserts—the carrot halwa and kheer are divine. The halwa, loaded with khova and dry fruits, melts in your mouth. At just ₹50 a box, it’s a steal.

Read moreI remember the days when hilao biryani’s used to be the best in shivajinagar famous too. But lately prices have increased. Not blaming the quality of their food which is five star. And very good by the service we received. We were made to wait for tables because it was around late night and closing time. Chicken 65 briyani rice and chicken kebab tastes good but quantity was great it's just too much. Mutton in biryani was well cooked but rice seemed like it's overcooked.. not expected from this outlet. Consistent on the food taste is amazing. The efforts of the new hilal restaurant to improve customer service is commendable. All the staff are extremely courteous. Very tangible change in the way they have improved the customer experience. Good to see the changes. Recommend...
Read moreBest restaurant in Shivajinagar for meat lovers. The food served here is great and is worth every penny. It is light on ones pocket as well. I have been here multiple times and I have never returned disappointed. This place is open until 1.30 AM or sometimes beyond I understand. I think they do not accept cards. A full non-veg meal and a sulaimani tea at Savera will make your visit complete. The place might look not very clean and trust me the food is what makes this place special. It might be crowded most of the time.
You might have to park your car a little ahead as you will not find a place to park nearby, however two-wheeler riders might get a spot most of the...
