Ambrosia Ambrosia - A pleasant getaway from the Hustle and bustle of City madness

#newplacealert #LongPostAlert

Imagine a place nestled amidst farm - serving exotic Italian fare and some potent drinks Located in RR Nagar Ambrosia is a novel outlet that focuses on Italian , Continental Vegetarian fare - They have a open Bar counter which is managed by skilled Bartenders

What I tried and loved the most Coco Colada - Fine blend of Vodka, Mango juice a bit of coconut syrup - must say this one is bang on and had the right notes Love Potion - with Vodka as its base strawberry juice and some litchi juice to top it off, this one is tad perfect If you love drinks with Vodka as their base this one is a must try there.

Ambience - The Aura and feel of this place is mesmerising. Be there dine in beneath the trees Gives you a feel of some sublime place

Cocktails - Impressive Potent ones Do try their Coco Colada and Love potion My personal reccos If you love Whiskey then Whisky Sour or Fresh kiss of gin lovers !

Food - Scrumptious vegetarian fare

Leek & Cheese champagne cigar roll - right filling of cheese and leek made these rolls delectable Cheesy Jalapeno poppers - Perfectly filled cheese with right amount of jalapeno made this one a show stealer Thai Chilli paneer - Spicy cottage cheese chunks tossed with sauces with hint of lemon grass. Goes well with drinks

Chef's Special Pizza - Right amount of pesto - veggies and feta cheese makes this one sheer delightful one.

Penne Pasta - with right amount of cheese broccoli, sun dried tomatoes boy this one is brilliant

We tried Thai green curry and rice - thai green curry deserves an applause for the perfect flavours they could recreate

Dessert - Choco Eruption - molten chocolate cake bed and simple vanilla ice-cream on top did magic and would tempt you to help with second serving

Would sum up by review this way

Serene atmosphere, lush greenery - must visit during sunset or early dinner. Ambience is surreal Food is superlative each one is bang on they score high

Service - After a long time i have come across polite staff who would make sure you have a fabulous dining experience Be it customising your food or hearing to ones request or suggesting you what to choose Ravi the manager deserves a huge pat on his back Rashid the one who attended our table does need a huge round of applause

Keeping in mind the aura of this place dutiful staff Excellent food and impressive cocktails and the prices are not expensive . Would recommend this gem of a place to all my readers out there Be there and have a memorable dining experience with your loved ones. Thank you team Ambrosia. I'm enthralled. will...

Having visited this place earlier and even ordered from here, took my family friend with high expectations for his farewell dinner - only to come back disappointed and angry. The food was okay however the service was so poor and unprofessional that we totally forgot about the food. We reached the place around quarter to 10 and had placed order for starters and drinks. Soon after the drinks we also ordered for the main course which came later than expected. One of the staff came at our table for the “last order” at 10:45. We placed the order for their simplest dessert. In the middle of us having our main course, the staff came and started asking if they could bring the dessert - which was sizzling brownie!! How can a reasonable human being want people to stuff their mouth and stomach forcefully with noodles and risotto and also eat the dessert!??? And if you don’t want guests after 10, then why take orders at 10:45?? just to expand bills and earn profits?? We were so rushed in eating and leaving that all basic mannerism of treating guests was forgotten! Nobody even treats an animal this way when they eat - let alone customers of a hospitality industry! The staff and the manager was so rude and arrogant and disrespectful that they wasted no time in arguing and shrugging their shoulders, smirking and dismissing everything that was pointed out. The strangest part was that after we pointed out to the manager about the lack of training and professionalism in his staff - we were told around 11:15 that our brownie was not ready (even though we were asked in the middle of our main course if the same can be served to us that time!) The food was ready then but after us ponting out the rude behaviour of the staff to the manager somehow it wasn’t ready by 11:15 and then we were forced to cancel and leave. It was the worst experience ever and not only will I never go to this place which is not a loss for me honestly, but I’ll ensure none of the people I know visit this godforsaken place! The manager was one of the most arrogant and disrespectful person I have had to meet and talk to. No one will remember the food if the service is so dismal. So many reviews about poor service but nothing has been done to improve anything it seems.

For food - only the risotto rice and leek cigar roll was worth eating. Everything else was...

We are regular visitors to this restaurant. As usual, we ordered two portions of broccoli almond soup to be split among three people, with each bowl priced at ₹275. However, the amount of soup provided in each bowl was noticeably less than half a serving. When we raised this concern with the manager, he insisted that the total quantity across all bowls would equal two full portions. We challenged this claim and demonstrated that the combined amount didn't even add up to one and a half bowls. Incredibly, the manager then argued that a single serving of soup isn't meant to be a full bowl, which was an absurd justification for the shortfall. Considering the premium price of ₹275 per bowl, this explanation was unacceptable. After some back and forth, the manager finally agreed to increase the quantity to a fair level

Advice to Restaurant Management:

It's crucial to ensure that customer satisfaction is at the heart of your service. In the incident described, the primary issue stemmed from a mismatch between the quantity of soup served and customer expectations, compounded by poor communication from the manager. Here are some key points for improvement:

Transparency in Portion Sizes: Clearly communicate portion sizes to customers upfront. If a portion is smaller than expected, explain this transparently on the menu or when the order is placed to avoid confusion and dissatisfaction later.

Consistent Serving Standards: Ensure that the portions served are consistent with what is promised and what the price reflects. Charging ₹275 per bowl creates an expectation of receiving a full and substantial portion.

Train Staff on Handling Complaints: It’s important that your staff, particularly managers, handle complaints professionally and courteously. Arguing with customers is detrimental to the reputation of your hotel. Instead, train managers to listen carefully, empathize, and offer solutions that reflect the establishment’s commitment to quality and service.

Focus on Customer Retention: In this case, immediately adjusting the quantity without argument would have left a much...

Let me start with one word to sum up the experience "Amazing". The staff is very helpful and the service is prompt washrooms were very clean, ambience was lovely. We went for dinner and were seated in the open area which was very well lit and photogenic with solid lights and light strips around the trees. We were happy to see the menu, a lot of new variety apart from the regular appetizers and main course. We ended up ordering Crispy Paneer Pillows, Crispy Corn Salt n pepper, Chef Don Pizza and everything was an Instant hit. Crispy Paneer Pillows were stuffed paneer wrapped in rice paper and shallow fried. The paneer was soft and fresh, the stuffing was rich and flavorful, and the rice paper gave it the Crispy texture on the outside. It was accompanied with the slaw and it was exquisite 9/10 recommend and would try again. Salt n Pepper crispy corn were good, they've not put much garlic in it and the flavour was more peri peri than the salt and pepper. But it was just the right amount of peri peri and was accompanied by the lime squeeze which lifted its flavors by multiple folds. 8/10 recommend. Chef Don Pizza was just 🤌 base was thin, sause was in house and freshly prepared, authentic brick oven baked. It checked all the checkboxes for a good pizza, it would have been great if it was wood fired oven but nonetheless good. It was good spicy(only a bit), it had broccoli and zucchini which were boiled in brine and sauted in spices before using it as a topping for the pizza. These ingredients have a strong flavour and ruin the pizza experience but since they were processed before putting it on the pizza they complemented the sauce, herbs and spices on the pizza. There was a lot of cheese as well and I absolutely loved it... 9/10 highly recommended would definitely try different pizzas over there (reduced 0.5 for not being wood fired and 0.5 for being a bit oily than the regular).

We recently visited Ambrosia for dinner, and it's truly one of the best places to enjoy an evening meal. The standout feature is their open-air seating under the trees, which creates a cozy and refreshing atmosphere. To get a table in this area, it's best to arrive before 8:00–8:30 PM on weekdays, as it tends to fill up quickly. Otherwise, you may be seated under a covered structure—especially larger groups or families. Ambience & Setup Ambrosia is a pure vegetarian restaurant with a bar, offering a mix of Italian, Pan-Asian, Continental, and a few desi-style starters. The ambience is calm and welcoming, with a large screen for sports, ample parking for both two-wheelers and cars, and even a kids' play area near the seating zone, making it ideal for families and groups of friends. Food & Drinks They're especially known for their Chef’s Special Pizzas, Pastas, and desserts. Starters we tried: Wild Mushroom Dimsum Thai Spicy Veg Dimsum Supreme Nachos Chatpata Cauliflower Popcorn All the starters were served quickly and tasted amazing! Mocktails: Fruit Punch Guava Mary Main Course: Barbaresca Pasta Chef Don Pizza Desserts: Sizzling Brownie Nutella & Cream Cheese Clouds Blueberry Cheesecake The food was served fresh and tasted delicious. However, the main course and desserts take more time to be served, so we recommend placing those orders right after receiving your starters if you want to avoid waiting. Final Thoughts The pricing is reasonable considering the quality, portion size, and overall experience—definitely worth the money. If you love Italian, Pan-Asian, or Continental cuisine, Ambrosia is a must-visit, especially for a relaxed dinner with family or friends.
