Savi Sagar Grand, Hulimavu — Restaurant in Bengaluru

This place has come up right in front of an established player in this area, Krishna Kuteera and with the experience i had, there's much to be desired.

Some cardinal sins: I was served a cold masala dosa. Wanted to challenge, but didn't want to create a scene so early in the morning.

Cashier rudely tells another customer to bring change for buying coffee or pay via Paytm. Customer had a 50 rs note and this place doesn't carry change? Unforgivable

Any restaurant worth its salt, more so a new place, should always have the owner around. This place didn't and the staff everywhere were mostly uninterested. I say this out of experience because my father used to run a similar restaurant and my father in law still does, they were always the first to arrive and last to leave.

Back to the cashier, guy was staring into his phone when i came to the cash counter, took him a full 20 seconds to realise i was standing there.

All fast food places have clear division of work. Here the parcel guy was packing my order and suddenly stopped and started packing a Zomato order, stopped again to serve a customer eating in. Strange and amateurish!

Apart from the dosa fiasco, the food itself was just okayish and doesn't trump kuteera's taste. They've deliberately priced a few items lower than Kuteera but i won't be coming back...

Disappointed with the experience I’ve been a regular customer here for the past 4 to 5 months, often coming for dinner and enjoying the food. However, I had a very disappointing experience recently that I feel needs to be shared. On the day of their 3rd anniversary celebration, I visited as usual around 9 PM and ordered a dosa (which costs ₹45). I handed over the order and waited patiently. After about 5 minutes, I politely asked if it was ready. The staff told me to have a seat and said they would call me once it was done.

I was sitting right in front of the counter, clearly visible, yet no one called me. When I asked again at around 9:12 PM, the person simply said, "Ayyo sir, I missed it." That was it—no apology, no effort to fix it. I was so disappointed, I just left without eating.

This was very upsetting, especially since I’ve supported them regularly. I understand they were busy due to the celebration, but this kind of negligence and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve how they treat...

Pathetic. First time in my life I stopped eating halfway in a restaurant and went to another restaurant to complete my dinner with family. We ordered Dosas and all the Dosas were tasting very bad, I guess the batter was spoilt and had some weird taste. I informed the cashier and he just nodded his head in a helpless way acknowledging it. We were waiting excitedly for this restaurant to open as it is near my house, but unfortunately 2 experiences including a parcel ( North Indian food) and a dine-in were not good at all. The staff are all non kannada speaking guys and looks like they are new to this job as they are clueless and very slow. They need to improve on all fronts, just having a fancy looking building will get people in once, but to make people return quality is needed. Hope owners see this review and make necessary changes as i want them to improve and succeed. Will visit again after a few months to...
