I am a frequenter of this hotel since I stay close by. Plz, avoid eating in this hotel since there is a lack of hygiene completely here. There were three instances when I agreed that this is a horrible hotel.
I ordered mushroom-fired rice and while I was patiently waiting I was observing that the guy who was cutting the mushrooms never washed it but just put it in the pan, I caught him and called the cashier and warned him and then they replaced it.
I ordered for Gobi Manchurian the second time and walla the same happened. They chopped the cauliflower which was heaped and dumped the cut pieces in the batter and started frying. Again warned then and got it washed and got it made
Once again I saw a huge rat doing its rounds in the kitchen and all the workers were excited to see it this was the worst turn off
Very horrible place, there is a lack of hygiene among the workers employed and no sense of quality control. Avoid this hotel if you do not want to get hospitalized after...
Read moreA very nice place to take your family for some traditional meals. I had the North Indian Deluxe Meal and its priced at Rs. 180/- where my folks had the regular North Indian meal which priced at Rs. 140/-. The only difference is the sweets that they provide wherein for the former option I was given Gajar Halwa and unlimited kulchas, rotis and for latter my folks were given Jamoon. The place is airy and has comfortable seating. The wait time for getting your food was around 7-8 minutes which is really good. The curries are tasty and the tomato soup served with the meal was delicious. The only letdown for me was the Kulchas I got which were not warmed up enough, a bit on the colder side. The service is decent. To conclude this is the sort of place where you can take your family for a quick lunch on regular occasions instead of going to places with a fancy name and wheres there's no...

I recently visited Shivsagar restaurant, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The vadas served were very stale, clearly lacking freshness and flavor. Instead of being crisp and soft inside, they were hard, oily, and tasted as though they had been kept for hours or even reheated. For a restaurant with a strong reputation for South Indian snacks, this was highly disappointing. The service was average, but the quality of food is what matters most, and it failed badly here. Shivsagar needs to seriously improve its quality control and ensure customers receive fresh, properly prepared...
