To be honest, I rarely eat vegetarian food. But Suruchi has blown me away with its rather appetizing and flavourful veg food. The joint has wide array of food to choose from and trust me, each and every dish on the menu will leave your belly asking for more. It's hardly been 10 days since its inception and you can already see a large crowd gathered in front of the restaurant. The reason being its pocket friendly and lips smacking cuisine.
Food: Masala Dosa- The masala dosa was crispy on the outside and had a fluffy, porous nucleus in the inside accompanied with generous amount of potato bhaji and benne.
Vada-sambhar - The crispy vada dunked in the piping hot sambhar tasted just like heaven.
Poori-Sagu - The full blown fluffy poori along with sagu which was made with the right amount spice leaves a delightful taste in your mouth for a long time.
Kesari bath - The kesarbath has the right amount of sweet and Ghee. Its one of the best Kesari bath I have had.
Coffee/Tea - The hot filter coffee is the perfect beverage to finish up the scrumptious South Indian breakfast/ Meal at Suruchi.
I would recommened this restaurant to anyone who wants to please their palate with an amazing south...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Suruchi Veg located at No.73, Aanvii Complex, 5th Cross Rd, MCECHS Layout, Dr.Shivaram Karanth Nagar, RK Hegde Nagar, Bengaluru, I found the convenience of parking was limited, with no dedicated car parking nearby, although bikes could be parked in the vicinity of the hotel.
Among the dishes I tried, the benne masale dosey priced at 100 INR was satisfactory, served with a side of chutney and sambar. I also sampled the masala puri priced at 50 INR, which leaned towards the sweeter side and left me with mixed feelings.
One of the items on the menu, the bonda soup priced at 60 INR, was a bit of a letdown for me. The soup resembled a thick sambar, which I personally did not enjoy, and the bondas lacked flavor.
To quench my thirst, I opted for both coffee and tea, each priced at 20 INR. The coffee was decent, while the tea had a strong ginger flavor and a slightly diluted taste.
In conclusion, my overall experience at Suruchi Veg was mediocre. It may be considered a suitable spot for a quick bite, but not necessarily worth a special visit if you are situated far from...
Read moreI'm typically not one to leave a negative review, but my experience here was genuinely disappointing. After waiting for a while to be seated, I was looking forward to the food, but it quickly became clear that they use a very high quantity of palm oil, photos I will share I have not included with this review. It's concerning to see a local eatery using so much of an unhealthy ingredient, as it shows a disregard for the well-being of the community they serve near MCECHS lay, Jakkur area. Beyond the food, the service was equally off-putting. A woman who seemed to be in charge or an owner had a highly rude and arrogant attitude. Her behavior was unprofessional and completely out of line for someone in a leadership position, especially in a customer-facing role. What's more, there's a certain air of arrogance here, as if they are the only restaurant that serves Idli and Dosa. The truth is, there are plenty of better options in the area that offer good food and respectful service. I would strongly recommend...
