My visit to Udupi Ruchi turned out to be a nightmare filled with scams and disappointment. The cashier shamelessly took advantage of the busy workday rush, attempting to shortchange my order. As if that wasn't enough, they casually chitchatted with someone, completely disregarding my queries. To add insult to injury, they purposely gave me a wrong food token, mismatched item count, and incorrect beverage, despite my clear order.
Confronting the cashier only led to more frustration, as they continued gossiping with the same person, wearing a smug expression. Eventually, I managed to retrieve my shortchanged money, but not without them conveniently withholding some petty change.
Feeling scammed and utterly deceived, I vow never to return to this establishment. Udupi Ruchi's blatant lack of customer care and their unabashed attempt to exploit unsuspecting patrons is beyond unacceptable. If you enjoy being treated with disdain and cheated out of your hard-earned money, this place is perfect for you. For the rest of us, it's a scam-filled nightmare to avoid...
Read moreMenu Items Tried - Pulao, Babycorn Manchurian Time of visit - Lunch on a week day Positives - The service hall is spacious and well-lit (almost). The food was decent. There is a dedicated parking lot. Things that could be improved - Customer Service. The service lacked any personal touch with the manager and waiters being totally perfunctory. As a matter of fact, they even discriminate among customers. The people sitting in the table next to us were visited several times by the staff asking if they needed anything else, despite their table still brimming with unfinished food. On the contrary we got empty glasses when we asked for regular water (they placed the glasses but forgot to comeback to fill water). No one asked if we wanted to order anything else (initially, we had planned to, but later chose not to due to the staff's nonchalance). And what's more, I had to even run behind the manager to get the bill!! Total apathy!!
Overall, though the food was ok and the pricing was reasonable, I don't plan to go back to this...
Read moreBeen here for a Sunday lunch with my family. An average affair, I must admit. Located on ORR, it cannot be missed. Parking available for 2W in front on footpath. We ordered Manchow soup to begin the affairs and it was damn spicy. By the time we completed, everyone were in tears. Masala papad was good with generous topping. Veg ball Manchurian had smokey flavour to it, but the soup spoiled the taste. We ordered a Lassi to overcome the spicy soup and it helped immensely and was good. Main course consisted of Butter Kulcha and Paneer Tikka Masala. The kulcha was soft and remained so till the end. Paneer Tikka masala went well with the Kulcha. Overall an average fare with no surprises. I might visit again as it is near to my home and if I feel lazy to walk...
