Great thing to taste here are the rasam, majjige huli, sambar and roasted chapathis. Ask mr gopalanna for roasted and get the taste. He being above 50yrs of age serves the customers very well and polite and humble person. If you are a regular customer u can eat today and pay him tomorrow if u have no change or so. You can get rasam sambar parcel for 10Rs onwards. make sure you carry a vessel or a carrier for that cos the plastic bags are banned and plastic with hot food is not good for health too. Too crowded after 1.30Pm for lunch and 9pm for dinner. Open on 6 days a week only for meals. No breakfast here. Lunch starts at 12.30PM and dinner at 7.30PM early can enjoy to slowly eat the good food. This is the only place near this are where dinner is available after 10.30PM, ONE CAN GET at-least rice here. Make sure to take a sip of hot rasam once.

Venkateshwara is one of the oldest and known profoundly in the area. Providing chapathi oota since a decade, the Tata/Ajja(owner) is a person who is down to earth. Unlimited meals at Rs/-60. (Price has increased recently) No match to the satisfaction of the food you eat in here, which will be exactly like home made food and with 0 soda addition. As the dish gets empty, it will be refilled ( as the kitchen is very next to the servings) . Don't miss drinking buttermilk in the end . It is a favourite for all the middle -class workers and college students (as the PESIT and many other colleges are near by) . Go inside as a hungry, tired person and come out an energetic ,happy tummy person. Happy eating:)

Homely food with such a friendly service. The best place to head for some authentic south Indian full meal. This is an ever busy place serving meals from about 25-30 years. Quality quantity and taste is just like home. The price is reasonable and service is fast. In the very minimal space available, they serve for about 300 PPL within an hour... Just for 60₹ they serve hot hygienic full meal with 2 chapati unlimited rice rasam curry curd and buttermilk. The owner is very humble and kind. He doesn't charge extra and greets everyone with a warm smile.

No wonder, it's got such high rating. This is a place you feel homely... it's not a place to look for ambience. It's a place to fill stomach...if you can fill stomach with love, tasty food then Venkateshwara mess is the place for such an experience. For 60 rupees you get two freshly made chapatis, unlimited piping hot rice with huli and saaru. Again Majjige unlimited. Chapatis get a curry - today it was massoppu and cabbage palya. I had never eaten such tasty cabbage palya, luscious...juicy and crunchy with the hint of ginger, coconut and possibly hing... very mild green chilly spice, massoppu was spot on. Huli with vegetables... probably it was gulla, potato, Radish, drumstick, etc...was delicious... I had two servings of rice with huli... I didn't go for saaru, maybe next time. Majjige had ginger elevating the taste. Of course there was pickle on the table. All in all, it was great food for stomach and mind...I am heading home satisfied... I will visit again.. The love shown by the cashier... middle aged person is extraordinary...the welcoming gesture asking us to pick the plate, use hot water to clean it and then head to counter for food. Please don't go to this place expecting enough tables or chairs... it's not a restaurant... it's a humble place.. The way they treat customers.. You feel like they are doing dasooha and not business. I have used daasoha in a very loose sense, not literally like how mutts offer food free for devotees. In short, I am looking forward to next visit to this place....

"I stumbled upon this hidden gem, and I'm so glad I did! This place is a game-changer for South Indian food lovers. The concept is simple yet brilliant - they sell all items in liters and kilograms, making it an absolute steal.

Imagine buying sambar, rasam, palya (or poriyal), rice, dal, and chapatis in bulk, at prices that are unheard of in the town. The quality is top-notch, and the flavors are authentic and delicious.

I've tried their meals, and I can confidently say that it's the best South Indian food I've had in a long time. The portions are generous, and the prices are ridiculously low.

If you're looking for a no-frills, authentic South Indian meal experience that won't burn a hole in your pocket, look no further. This place is a must-visit.

Rating: 5/5 stars
