This is a small hill (known as Mount Joy) temple dedicated to Hindu God Sri Subrahmanya (Lord Muruga to Tamils). We need to climb up on about 150 steps to reach the temple. He is known here as Kumaraswamy because he stand alone without his consorts, as an unmarried young man. His father Shiva is right in front of him in the shape of Lingam. Kumaraswamy idol is sculpted beautifully. The priests do a great job of decoration on Him and Sri Shiva.

On either side, we have shrines of Sri Ganesha and Sri Parvathi. The ornaments and floral decorations add to the beauty of the Divinities. As we go around and come out, we have the shrine of navaloha (nine elements) Kumaraswamy. That hall abounds in paintings of Sri Subramanya in six different famous places. Plus his wedding to Sri Valli and Sri Devasena.

The whole hill abounds in vast greenery and a park well maintained.

As we come out of the temple, a little away on the left is another temple for Shiva in the linga form. As we come down the hill, half way we see a shrine for Aadhisesha, the divine snake upon whom, as per Hindu belief, Sri MahaVishnu reclines in Vaikunta.

At the foot of the hill is the temple for five headed elephant God, Sri Panchamukha Ganesha. Compact and beautifully sculpted deity. Right opposite Him, there's a shrine for monkey God, Sri Anjaneya, which is...

Sri Kumaraswaami Temple is one of the old temples and must visit this temple at least once. The temple is located in Kumaraswamy layout and it is in a residential area with a very calm environment, it is a very big Temple, clean, and environment friendly. I feel like, I have visited some temple on the mountain top. The temple is well maintained. In the temple premises we can see some exercise items as well which are free for public use, the place is full of greenery with a park, one of the best places for kids to play also to spend good time and the main thing is we Hindus visit the temples to get some positive energy and peace of mind, definitely the purpose is fulfilled at this temple because of it's greenery and calmness at this huge place. I would like to say that, for Bengalureance this is a perfect place for a day outing within a city. I liked the cute mini auditorium as well which is also located in the temple premises. I would recommend to visit this temple when you have...

Situated on a small cliff next to Hanumanthanagar lies the immensely magnificent Lord Kumaraswamy, Subramanya, or Murugan temple. The temple is adorned with exquisite decorations for the annual Kavadi celebration. Raja Gopuram is this temple's distinctive feature. It features a strolling area and a children's play area. The ideal location for spending important time with family members In a bustling location, a nice temple is isolated. It's a satisfying climb up the hundred or so steps. We may unwind after work on the quiet circular path there in the evening and take morning walks. The place has a calm ambience, and at dusk we can take in stunning views of the city. It's the ideal location for a...

This is a Hindu Deity sri Subramanya Swamy Temple located on a small hill. This is a temple that is located inside the city and a in busy neighborhood. This has unique history. A rare occurrence of a multi headed serpent god sri adhishesha was found here in the form of a carving on the rock and after the priests conducted pooja and did background check did they realize the importance of the place. Immediately a magnificent temple was built to safeguard it and help devotees to have darshana. A fantastic place and a divine place to visit with family.
