I recently had the chance to try three varieties of soya chap – Afghani Soya Chap, Achaari Soya Chap, and Malai Chap – and overall, it was a delicious experience that left me wanting just a little more (literally!).
Starting with the Afghani Soya Chap, the marinade was rich and creamy, with a subtle smoky flavor that lingered nicely on the palate. The texture of the chap was perfectly tender and well-cooked, making it a great starter for those who enjoy mild yet satisfying spices.
The Achaari Soya Chap was a tangy treat. It packed a punch with its bold, pickled flavors that were both spicy and slightly sour – a real delight for anyone who enjoys North Indian achaari masalas. The seasoning was well-balanced, and it definitely stood out for its unique profile.
The Malai Chap was smooth, rich, and indulgent. The cream-based marinade gave it a melt-in-the-mouth texture, and it was subtly seasoned with herbs and spices that complemented the creaminess.
