Restaurant Review: A Disappointing Experience
I visited Cafe Heaven yesterday, drawn in by its impressive decor and social media hype. While the ambiance was fine, the food was a complete disaster and far from worth the price.
I ordered the Pomfret fish grilled with assorted veggies, priced at ₹600, expecting a good portion and quality. What I got was a tiny 150-gram fish that was smelly and overcooked, accompanied by a laughable excuse for veggies: two small pieces of broccoli and a heap of bell peppers. The mashed potatoes were another mystery—flavorless and unappetizing. To top it off, I had to wait 40 minutes for this underwhelming dish, only to finish (or rather leave) it within 4 minutes.
When I mentioned that the fish smelled off, the owner sent the plate back to the kitchen and insisted the fish was "fine and fresh," as if I’d never had Pomfret before. Ironically, just a couple of days earlier, I had an amazing Pomfret dish at Zingibar in Nayapalli, which was worth every penny as same price. This comparison made the poor quality here even more glaring.
What really added insult to injury was the owner’s lack of courtesy. Despite my complaint, there was no apology, no effort to make amends, and certainly no discount. I left feeling like I had just donated ₹600 for a substandard meal. (Tip to the restaurant respect your customer on a complaint be humble and use humble replay and should offer a certain discount)
This restaurant seems to rely solely on its decor and social media promotions to lure customers, but the food doesn’t live up to even basic expectations.
If you value your money, avoid this place for meals. At most, stop by for coffee or cakes, but don’t expect anything special.
It’s unfortunate how some places prioritize aesthetics over quality, leaving customers disappointed and questioning their...
Read moreWe visited Cafe Heaven today and were warmly welcomed upon arrival. However, we were not immediately offered water or given the menu. Despite asking twice, we only received water after some delay, and I had to fetch the menu myself. I believe the service could benefit from some improvements, particularly as this is a new establishment and managing customer service can be challenging initially.
Regarding the food, the cafe emphasizes the use of healthy ingredients, prioritizing nutrition over flavor enhancement with unhealthy additives. For us, the taste was average, though it might be a reflection of the healthier preparation methods.
On a positive note, the ambiance of Cafe Heaven is truly beautiful. The vibrant color palette of deep blues and greens, along with tropical plant patterns and natural materials, creates a refreshing and inviting atmosphere. The warm, strategic lighting and comfortable seating further enhance the overall dining experience, making it a lovely place to spend time.
Overall, our experience was good, and with some improvements in service and food quality, Cafe Heaven has the potential to become a...
Read moreHonestly, the cafe has more hype than worthy food. We had all brunch over there, prices were high, and the service was slow. Coming to food we ordered two panni veg sandwiches, one loaded with stuffing of mushroom and another with paneer ( the taste was average, the breads were lil burnt from the upper layer). Then we had one starter crispy garlic mushroom balls ( it was not good to taste or for bite - the balls were too crispy, hard to cut, stuffing was lesser with mushroom but much with the taste of fennel). Just ordered one of the continental dishes Cottage Cheese Stroganoff ( I don't know why but they have to learn much about quantities, they gave us too much rice and cream cheese in the middle with not much veggies ). Next, we had one farmhouse pizza ( the taste is average but the base can be softer). At last one special dessert (the combination of blueberry gelatin, one creamy layer of strawberry vanilla maybe, and just a little chocolate cookies layer in the last, less sweet, okay with it ). I think overall food can be done better and prices should be better. Or else the ambience was good but too noisy...
