9th Bistro — Restaurant in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

Today, I visited 9th Bistro in Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar, with my family for lunch. Having heard a lot about the place, we were excited to experience its offerings, but unfortunately, the visit turned out to be underwhelming.

One of the first things we noticed was the pricing. The menu is undoubtedly on the expensive side, which would have been acceptable had the food lived up to the expectations. Sadly, it did not. The dishes we ordered had an average taste that did not justify the high cost. While some items were passable, none left a lasting impression or a desire to revisit.

The portion sizes also left much to be desired. For the price charged, the quantity was insufficient, leaving us feeling dissatisfied. It seemed as though the focus was more on the presentation rather than substance, which is disappointing for a family outing where value for money plays an important role.

On a positive note, the ambiance of 9th Bistro is appealing, and the staff were courteous. However, these aspects alone cannot compensate for the lackluster food experience.

Overall, 9th Bistro feels like a place that is more about appearances than delivering a memorable dining experience. I would recommend considering other options in the area unless you’re willing to pay a premium for ambiance over taste...

Its an amazing place for those who want a peaceful hangout... But i didnt like the food that much... Specially i didn't understand their signature dish- safed biryani(which was 500rs and quantity was also normal) then we had sunburst it tasted initially like rasna then after the ice melts down it was okayish... Chicken Lollypop was good... Paneer butter masala was good even garlic naan but i still didn't like tulip veg ... Most importantly for all this dishes it was bit pricey may be for location... One thing what i hated was there dishonesty n they think they are the smartest people on earth exist... I dont know who was the manager... They didn't add water bottle initially then took 47 rs including gst for 20rs bottle...and we are literate n aware enough to know you cant take charge for water bottle and even 5 star hotels dont have this price point... Someone who visit keep this in mind.. plus they didnt give us the extra food we asked for packaging... People who love to fill their Instagram photos with aesthetic background just go blindly n who wants peaceful hangout place with amazing atmosphere... But why i wouldn't personally go here further because i felt like i got conned ! N its my personal experience rest have a great time go n try...

Heard about this place for quite some now. Usually the review is, " Great place for aesthetic Instagrammable posts but meh food". Had to dig in more for that.

Went for a family lunch on a week day. No rush so the food arrived on time. Ordered cheeseballs from the vegretarian section and Chicken popcorn, special non veg platter as the starters. For theain course we had the basic naan, chicken butter masala and paneer butter masala.

Loved the taste of every dish. Felt like the pricing on all the items was also on point! The Naan was super soft and the chicken had that umami taste. Every dish was over in just a few mins! Crazy!

Definitely going again to have another round of presumptuous food! There also serve alcohol and have happy hours as well. Do check in before arrival to book a place.

Coming to the atmosphere of the restaurant, the interior decor and the open tereace will teleport you to a small little Pondicherry street with wind flowing through your hair making it the perfect Instagram...
