The Canteen — Restaurant in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

I wish I could give nil star rating to this restaurant. The behavior of the owner lady is so rude that I couldn't wait for the food and left the place immediately. A normal Roti costs ₹5 everywhere, wherein this restaurant charged ₹7 per piece. I asked about it. She could have told gently that due to cost of ingredients and our quality we are forced to charge that much. Rather she told me that in her career of 9 years no one have questioned about it ever. I should be thankful to their price as no other restaurant gives that much of price. She never seen such costumer like me. I told that I am consumer and I am paying for it. I have full right to compare the price and bargain(even though I haven't bargained) Later after such word exchange she told me that she didn't want this type of customer. And from her end she told her employee not to prepare my food for what I was waiting for. So forcefully I have to left the place without food. I was not in a mood for fighting or any argument .. otherwise she could have seen the power of a costumer.

I used to love this place for their chicken biryani. Back in 2024, it was absolutely heavenly, so flavorful that I went there almost every weekend just to enjoy it. However, after a long time my recent visit was disappointing. The chicken biryani I ordered for takeaway tasted below average, nowhere close to what it used to be. On top of that, I was charged an extra ₹10 per egg (₹30 total for 3 biryanis), but when I opened the packages at home, there were no eggs included. What made it worse was that I even saw the manager double-check with the staff, and they confirmed the eggs were packed, but clearly, they weren’t. I’m not upset over three missing eggs, but over the carelessness and poor management. The decline in food quality along with such mistakes really ruined the experience. First of all sorry for late review. Me and my friends ordered chicken biryani and veg biryani. In chicken biryani I don't like better much I expected because chicken was not cooked properly. And veg biryani is good for me. We also ordered chicken pakoda and panner pakoda - this both dish are amazing(it touched my heart ❣️). The atmosphere is very nice but in washing room please change the towel daily.
