It was a memorable and pleasant evening at this cafe. Delicious food, well brewed coffee and beautiful ambience. Both outdoor and indoor sitting arrangement is available with various types of pastries, pizzas, coffees to try. Their menu includes Asian, European and Indian cuisine. Fine dining is available at first floor and bakery at the ground floor. Service is at its best. In the hot beverage section we ordered Doppio and Americano while in the snacks we tried Chicken salami sandwich and chicken satay. Doppio was strong and had the perfect acidity. Americano had the perfect ratio of Espresso and Water and we were completely satisfied with the quality of coffee. I consider Sandwich to be a perfect snack to go along with coffee. Here they had prepared it perfectly. It was served with fries and chutneys as side dishes. Fries were crunchy and when combined with chutney gave a tangy taste. The sandwich was filled with chicken and veggies. I was glad that they had not used too much sauce. Because the sauce could have dominated the actual taste of sandwich. Chicken satay was presented similar to a stick chicken but with extra punch of flavor. It was dry, a bit spicy and when combined with chutney gave an awesome taste. In the ground floor, many varieties of pastries, breads and cookies are available. We tried a lemon tart and choco eclairs. Overall it was a good choice to...
Read moreWe came with great expectation. Beautiful cafe. Great service. Though they did forget about the coffee the first time and took some time to get it on to the table.
The food however is a different story. Everything is beautiful to look at. The honey almond pastry was beautiful and tasty. Very moreish. I would go back again and again just for that.
The banana pie had good flavours. Just that the banana pieces in the middle of the pie were cold and quite uncooked. While ripe bananas are very tasty on their own I don’t think a cold piece of banana in the middle of a warm pie is very delectable.
The main story is about the chicken puffs. Ironically they aren’t puffy at all, tough to bite, and filled with a dry filling which is chicken flavoured but doesn’t have a lot of chicken in it. I expected to have a hit of childhood nostalgia since chicken puffs are something all of us grew up eating but I was sorely disappointed. The worst part was that the server was checking whether the puff was warm or not using her palms and the back of her bare hand right on the counter in plain view of everyone. Yuck. I can’t eat food that’s being fondled infront of me. Very very very unhygienic.
I won’t come here again except to...
Read moreOberoi Bakers and Cafe: A Disappointing Experience I recently visited Oberoi Bakers and Cafe with a friend, expecting a pleasant evening out. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. Despite the relatively low number of customers, the cafe was plagued by significant mismanagement. The noise level was unbearable, with customers shouting at each other as if they were at a roadside dhaba. The staff seemed powerless to control the chaos, and their lack of attentiveness was evident. We ordered a simple veg manchow soup, but even that took an unreasonably long time to arrive.
Given the disruptive atmosphere and the poor service, we decided to leave after finishing our soup. I would strongly advise anyone considering visiting Oberoi Bakers and Cafe to think twice.
The lack of order and the disrespectful behavior of some customers make it a far cry from a relaxing and enjoyable...
