I recently dined at Gupta Veg Restaurant, and I have some thoughts to share. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there were a few areas that needed improvement.
Food Quality and Variety: The food at Restaurant is undeniably good. However, I noticed that the menu hasn’t changed in quite some time. It would be refreshing to see new items added to the menu. Variety keeps customers engaged and prevents boredom.
Pricing and GST: While the food quality justifies some of the prices, I agree that certain items seem overpriced. Additionally, the separate GST charges can be confusing for diners. A more transparent pricing structure would be appreciated.
Extra Charges for Indoor Seating: It’s disappointing that customers are changed high extra price for eating inside the restaurant. This practice seems unfair, especially when the ambiance and service are part of the dining experience.
First Floor Ambiance: The first floor lacks proper daylight, which affects the overall ambiance. I recommend addressing this issue by allowing more natural light or improving the lighting fixtures. Additionally, the tables and chairs on the first floor are showing signs of old and tear. Considering the charges, updating the furniture would be a positive change.
In summary, the Restaurant has its strengths, but there’s room for improvement. I’d rate it around 2.5 to 3 stars based on my experience. With a few adjustments, it could become an even better dining...
Read moreComment from one of our member " Had a very very bad experience on the day of Mahalaya , went with my kids, wife and Mom.
When we went to 1st floor we saw only two seats were available and I politely asked one uncle and aunty if my mom and wife can seat on the other side of the two seat.
Uncle - Aunty said yes beta no problem, please seat. After few minutes one old waiter (very arrongant and inhuman) shouting from the other side please leave the seat , you can't disturb the privacy of others. My mother and wife silently left the seat and we felt it's a very inhuman behaviour and hurting dignity of the women on the day of Mahalaya.
If you are well aware your seats are full or only few seat available then you shouldn't allow us to went up and you could have asked us to seat on ground floor space. How as customer we would know no seats are available on the 1st floor.
This arrongant waiter mr. Nandi and the management must be from the Mahishasur mindset and thus hurting the dignity of my Mom and wife. My kids didn't understood why we left the place. In today's auspicious day I want send a message to Gupta uncle have you not ensured dignity of women ?
Please don't just look for profit, kindly learn to show respect to women, don't differentiate on the basis of anything.
We visited a near restaurant "Sher A Bengal." I am surprised the way they greeted us with great respect...
Read moreGupta veg is a now a chain of restaurants they have multiple brances but the oldest one is the kestopore which is located on the road side near by kestopore auto stand. The don't have a bunch of variety but yesthey have some ready cooked food so one can select from that also the best part is they use seasonal vegetables so can get a flavour of all seasonal veggies. The best past is they serve pure veg food and the trust that they have built up is huge in the market and that's the key success. Well one thing that I personally love is the motichur laddoo that they have is awesome in taste as the price is also very reasonable. As I am a hardcore non veg so whenever I visit it's mostly coz of the laddoo though I tries some meal as well and it was also good. Their dahi vada is also very tasty so I ll recommend to try something if you are looking for some...
