This is in Mohisbathan, and has ample seating space, cute, little place for nibbles. The ambience is nice as it gives a view of the lake.
Food that I ordered - Chole bhature was very nicely made, because bhature was not oily and the chole was tasty along with chopped onions and a slice of lemon. Good choice if you're really hungry.
Chilli cheese toast had too many green chillies, capsicum and loads of cheese. But avoid this if you're not used to spicy.
One adrak chai (do not order if you don't want to spoil your taste, I had asked for sugar and I could gulp it down somehow. One pappu chaiwala chai was strong, had to add sugar. They offer bottled water only.
Paneer paratha: was nice served with curd and pickle. If you add butter they'll give you melted butter and charge extra for it.
Suggestion - there's no amenity of a washroom,or a sink for washing hands and that can be improvised.
UPDATE: 16/03 went to their eatery again, found a plastic literally in the chole bhature while eating, informed them about it and there was no apology, just took the plate away and came back to ask if we wanted another fresh bhature. To which obviously we refused because who knew what we'll find in that bhature. We asked them to remove chole bhature from getting billed because will you pay for something that you found a plastic while eating? To which the lady staff says that this is not possible and they can only lessen ₹10 lol. And that we should have informed them before the bill got printed. I said we informed to which the lady staff very smartly answers "that the guy who's billing doesn't understand" and "you should have informed earlier we could have given extra bhature" Paid the bill and left because despite being a health risk knew that there was no point talking to such lousy staff. Now what really pissed me off is zero empathy,no apologies, zero consideration nothing from the staff. And this has been the same over all the times I've visited this place. This is a human error and could happen to anyone. Yes it is a health risk because it's an eatery, one would be scared to death to eat here again. But the customer service is zero. Even if what happened with us was unfortunate but a good customer service or a prompt response/good behaviour is a necessity for any eatery to run! (If the owner comments I'm sending you the bill number ask your staff about it ) Pathetic response...
Read moreVery unprofessional service. Wish to give ZERO star rating. Very unfriendly restaurant. Money making restaurant.
First of all their staff is very careless and they don't entertain customer untill unless customers shouts to them to come and clean the table, serve the water. Despite the hot temperature, the waiters don't switch on coolers by themselves. Customers have to repeatedly ask to switch on the coolers. Such a pathetic service.
Restaurant doesn't even has the handwashing water tap option. Upon asking the waiter: "how to wash hands", the waiter shamelessly asks the customer to go to road and wash the hands with bottle there itself. Can you imagine washing the hands on the main road where the vehicles are running?
The restaurant is focusing more on money rather than giving service.
They charge this big amount 175₹ for a single plate of Chole Bhature !!! And, when you request them to give little chhola they simply denied it. Their statement is "we don't give extra chola".
The restaurant behvaes like a thug place. Only sole aim to earn money and loot customers.
Seriously, when we are paying 175₹ for a single plate of chole bhature, is this the courtsey/service of restaurant?
Even a small roadside shop peovides little extra chhola upin request, but this restaurant seems to be out of their mind.
They can give plenty of reasons for not accepting credit cards/debite cards for payments and force customers to pay through cash or UPI. But when the customer demands little extra chola despite charging huge 175₹ for a single plate , they simply deny giving...
Read morePerfect spot for an evening adda. Being right by the lake, the weather is a pleasant one in the evening with the continuous onset of light breeze.
The chai is one that refreshes your mood. It is the kadak chai that we all like, just what you need on a sunday evening. We usually order the onion pakoda which has a very unique preparation with egg and corn flour batter. A side dish that matches perfectly with your tea.
The cheese loaded fries we tried on recommendation from the reviews, was not good. The liquid cheese tasted horrible and was a combination that was not necessary. So were the few other items we tried like the aloo pakora which were underwhelming as well.
Overall, for a hangout place it's a good spot. Have tea, pair it up with the onion pakoda. Start a gossip under the pleasant evening breeze and enjoy...
