Refinery 091 — Restaurant in Bidhannagar

1. Its in Salt Lake (Very Far from the Main City)
2. The Liquor Prices are quite Expensive
3. Liquor Choices are very Limited ( I ordered Light Beer and they had a brand called "Bhutanese" which I had never even heard of...not the standard kingfisher ultra/corona/sol which you would expect)
4. Non-Veg Menu Main Course options are 80% batter fried dishes and are high priced (you could get all that at a KFC/ Mc Donalds) and buy the alcohol separately..
5. Their "Craft Beer" brewing hasnt started yet...so still waiting on this..
6. Lots of choices of other fast food menu items...pizzas and momos etc
7. I tried their Goan Prawn Curry and Chicken Kothe..it was just about above average...nothing great
8. Theres Nothing to Really Die for about this place...it feels like a Clone of Grid in Topsia in Kolkata and all they've done is throw in a live band
9. The band wasnt playing. There were people just randomly sound testing the equipment and disturbing the ambience of the place. The staff also didnt object/control the sound testing (complete lackadaisical attitude towards customer experience)
10. We wanted to add an extra chair to our table (and a nearby table was totally empty). The staff weren't adjusting/helpful at all and it seems there is more preference/bias given to regular customers rather than newcomers. There is an attitude if resistance rather than welcoming to new comers. We had to give a reference of a regular customer and then the staff started behaving politely towards us.
11. This was also displayed when we tried entering this restaurant. First they said there is no space. Then after giving a reference they said there is lots of space ( the upper section was completely empty)
12. On the positive side the ambience is good and if they add some USP like really good menu choices (eg. Grilled food/Indian food) and more alcohol choices or Karaoke with their live band...this place could...

This is such an overhyped place in salt lake Sector 5 area. I went to this outlet to celebrate my birthday when it opened newly. To my utter disappointment I had the worst experience ever. I am just giving the 2 points for the food and service of the staffs. Food were no doubt good and the staffs were very helpful. But the management of this outlet is not good. This was my birthday and I requested DJ over there to play some dance hits so that we can dance in the floor and enjoy my birthday with my friends. It was around 8pm. But even after numerous requests the DJ didn’t play any song and kept on telling they will start from 9pm. So we managed to wait till 9pm and even after then nothing happened. This time the DJ informed to take approval from management. I was shocked like approval that too for playing dance hits I mean seriously? No pubs or lounges in Sector 5 doesn’t do such things because I have been in to each and every lounges. And management kept on telling that no one is on the dance floor so they can’t play dance tracks. I said them people will come to the dance floor once you start playing the hits right? I must say if this the attitude and presentation then it wouldn’t be going too far but I know they don’t care. So we had to leave the place without any argument because I didn’t want to spoil my birthday and mood. I know this outlet must have improved a lot to survive in that area but If this wasn’t Birthday then I would have visited again there but I wouldn’t go there never ever. A big NO to this place who can’t give respect to people. Can you imagine the level of my embarrassment in front of my friends.

Refinery 091, located at Globsyn Crystals, Salt Lake is surely going to leave an impact on you! Sporting much of an industrial look, there are cozy leather sofas, attractive wall graphhiti coupled with ingredients resembling that of an industry, this vibrant place will transport you to that of an actual refinery. '091' is India's dialing code which has been added as a suffix to the name 'Refinery'. The upper floor has huge LED screens equipped with XBox Gaming for a enthusiastic experience for all gamers as well who want to enjoy drinks coupled with console games. Coming to the food, they've some fantastic innovations from different cuisines as well as refreshing cocktails & soothing mocktails on their menu. The pricing is okayish compared to the excellent ambience they're providing. Perfect place to sit & enjoy drinks over delicious nibbles with your pals & loved...
