My experience here was a textbook example of complete operational failure. During a busy festive evening, we placed a takeaway order and were confidently told it would be ready in 20 minutes. After waiting for the initial 20 minutes, I went inside to check on the order. It was immediately obvious that the restaurant was severely understaffed and the employees were completely overwhelmed. I was then told it would take another 20 minutes. After waiting for a total of 40 minutes, I checked again, only to be told the most shocking thing: they didn’t even have the main ingredient (paneer) and were only then trying to call their supplier. The core issue here is not just the hour of wasted time, but the fundamental lack of honesty. Instead of being transparent from the start about being understaffed, having a long wait, or not having ingredients, the management and staff chose to mislead us repeatedly. A simple, honest “We are very busy and understaffed, the wait will be over an hour” would have been respected. Instead, we were given false hope and our time was disrespected.
