AB's - Absolute Barbecues | Gautambudh Nagar, Noida — Restaurant in Dadri

I am traveling to India (from the US) and wanted to take my family to the AB's dining place that I liked back when I was in India/Hyderabad a few years back. This was one of the best buffet places I ever visited back in Hyderabad. With that impression I wanted to book the place in Noida for a family dinner, and I wanted to share my poor experience here: Prior to my visit I had a clear conversation on the number of people I am reserving for the place ~25-30 people Post realizing few guests couldn't make it I booked it for ~20 meal vouchers as suggested by the staff over phone from Noida 62 sector branch and email the voucher to sales email (below). I was there ~8:45pm for my booking to ensure things were ready by 9pm, but the table wasn't ready and had to ask people to arrange for 20 people (plus 2-3 kids).

Felt service was poor- Live counter weren't ready, asked for more time, and mentioned they will serve on the table no one showed up and had to ask /remind Service was poor for snack/refills had to ask for things rather than served on the table, felt staff wasn't trained and didn't remember what's going around/who ordered what so on. one of the guest right arm burnt while walking around to get food, when a server said "excuse me" after touching the hot grill on the right arm (had to be treated with first aid) Since the table wasn't ready for 20+, asked at ~9:30pm while guest were standing waiting for additional table to be joined for 15mins. I had to walk down to ask for the manager and staff who were assisting and started to argue you have a booking of 15 people and should've told us 20+ (actually there were 17 people + 2 kids). I had to ask them to call the manager to talk about this as the booking was always 20 people (Look at the email prior to Muskan with voucher details that was sent a few hours before). Cutlery wasn't served, had to ask multiple times at times food was either under or over cooked rather than standard I have seen across other AB's (positive feedback) We asked to pack for the remaining 3 people we didn't consume (there were 17 adults vs buying meal vouchers for 20) we ended up wasting 3 people's meal vouchers, they were able to pack a few things which was great but wasn't enough for...

This place is a dumpster fire , " This is the worst barbeque in the whole of Noida " FULL STOP. The starters suck , the tandoori chicken is tasteless , in prawns you can just taste the spices and nothing else , fish is tasteless. Veg starters have such a bad after taste and feel like just some mayonise has been put on them and gotten to the table.

I was dissapointed by the starters but i thought i will give it one more chance so went to the pasta counter and got a white sauce pasta. It tasted like Mayonise but i thought lets give it one more chance. Got a plate of Pani-Puri , it was the worst pani-puri i have ever eaten in my whole life.

Now , the main course . First of all the main course counter were empty , there were no pieces left in the curries and they took there own sweet time to refill everything. So , now i took every dish they had in the main course and tasted it. one word "DISSAPOINTING". Nothing was eatable, it was the worst food i have ever had in my whole life. The panner kofta tasted like someone dumped a kilo of sugar in the gravy. The butter chicken was watery . All the paneer dishes were tasteless. In one word it tasted like i was eating food from a hostels mess.

I thought , lets have something sweet. I tried the phirni and it tasted of bad quality whipping cream. All the sweets tasted like some 3rd class bakery in a village sweets.

Also , the music system in this place is really bad and the choice of song is as same as their food.

I was pretty dissapointed by barbeque nation, but this place has set a new all time high score in being the worst place to eat .

The people working there are good , they try. But everything else is just a " DUMPSTER FIRE"

We unluckily went there because pirates of grill was sold out. Now i can see why this place is always empty. For 1000 PP for Non-veg it is better i go to some Ala-carte restaurant. This has been the most "DISSAPOINTING" dining experience of my life.

How can a restraunt mess everything up this bad. This was the first time me and my family left food on their plate and it had to be thrown away . It was that bad. Guys save your money and go...

I visited AB's on 31st August 2023. This is a honest review about this buffet restaurant.

Lets first come to Starters. I took the vegetarian meal option. All the starters which came were avg, the lacked the basic flavour of how food should taste like.

a) Panneer was bland under cooked. b) Malai Broccoli was without any flavour and undercooked. c) crispy corn was okay d) rest other bbq starters were just okay.

The chat section

a) golgappe were pathetic, these people use packet gol gappa with minimum filling and the water too wasn't good.

b) chaat paapdi and tikki, these two things were made by novice using ingredients for name sake. Trust me, when u will eat it i can guarantee you wont take the second bite.

Now lets come to the main course.

a) Manchurian and noodles, they were undercooked and noodles were plain. Its like boiling maggie and eating without any flavour.

b) daal and biryani, being a punjabi i know how dal makhni should taste like. The daal lacked major attribute of dal makhni that is makhan.

c) biryani didn't tasted like it was fresh.

d) Kadhai paneer was sweet without any masala.

e) malai kofta were more like maida kofta, too hard to eat not at all good

Now the desert

a) i really dont understand why after charging a premium price they use low quality ingredients? The cheese cake felt like foam. Brownie hard to eat. Gulab jamun, more like mini gulab jamuns were sweet. If you understand food then i would really not recommend anyone going here. Paying 3500rs for 4 people is a decent expenditure.

The hospitality asks us how the food is, and they will change it accordingly to our preference, I WANT TO ASK THEM ONE THING, when someone has already tasted the food and its inside stomach, can i get and additional stomach to eat what is being customised for me ? or have i gone to order around how i want my food to be ? I have gone to eat good food. That is the purpose.
