Cafe De'lan — Restaurant in Dadri

Ok, so decided to visit the cafe on 6 May 2023, in the morning for breakfast. First the positives:

Beautiful and aesthetically decorated cafe. Soothing music and lovely ambience. Ordered the Cafe Caramello coffee, the OG Chicken Sandwich, and chicken sausages and the eggs Benedict. All apart from the eggs Benedict (check the negatives) were lovely. The coffee had just the perfect hint of caramel. The sandwich was filling and well made and the sausages were tossed in butter. Very happy with these. Service is done with a smile and the serving staff are very warm and welcoming.

Now the not so good parts:

The Eggs Benedict. The chef clearly does not know how to make a good one. The first attempt was poor and after sending the dish back, the chef did give it another shot but the outcome wasn't very different. Clearly there is a skill issue with the chef which needs to be addressed. The hollandaise sauce, made in house, wasn't up to the mark. Plating was cluttered and the bacon just didn't taste right. It was clearly not one of the better eggs Benedict I have had.

However, I was taken by surprise as the eggs Benedict was not charged. I had not said anything about not being charged and was very willing and eager to pay for the dish. So thank you to the staff for that.

I will visit again, but I guess the chef will have to up his/her game for more complicated items...
