Ā Ā Ā Read moreDasprakash is located in the Sector 104 market. It specialises in South Indian food but also serves North Indian. It is a pure veg AC restaurant. We visited in the morning of 26Sep24 at 8AM which is the opening time. They have an unlimited thali offer with limited items (Rs. 300). However, we opted for a la carte - had rawa onion masala dosa (2 nos), vada (4pcs) and filter coffee (3). The bill was around Rs. 1200 - reasonable for ac dining. The dosa was good and fresh with ample fillings. The sambar was hot and refill sevice was quick. Coffee has always been excellent at Dasprakash - do ask them to make is strong. The ambience could be improved. The ground floor is not too large and lighting could be improved, especially when there is new competition next door. The food quality has always been good though service sometimes lags later in the day. The dishes are good but not unique.
Paid on-street market parking is available but it is usually full on weekends due to a motley assortment of restaurants along the length of the market. Fun fact : Internet tells that Dasaprakash means " The light of servant of God". It was founded in 1921 by K. Seetharama Rao and named in honour of his father Bhakta Sri Govinda Dasa (earlier Rao). I wish they would highlight the history in their...
