Extremely Disappointing Experience at Carnatic Cafe Noida – Not Worth the Hype! Visited Carnatic Cafe Noida on 17th September 2025, accompanied by my sister and niece visiting from the UK, having heard a lot about this place and noticed their outlet at T3, IGI Airport. Unfortunately, our entire experience—from the minute we entered to the moment we left—was the worst I’ve had in any restaurant.
Service: The service was outright pathetic. The staff appeared uninterested, inattentive, and lacked basic courtesy. Their uniforms were not properly cleaned or ironed, which left a very poor first impression. Throughout our visit, basic requests were ignored, and the staff showed no professionalism or promptness.
Ambiance & Cleanliness: The restaurant furniture looked well below average—nowadays, even roadside dhabas have better and more comfortable seating arrangements. The general ambiance felt neglected and uninviting. The washroom was unclean and poorly maintained, which is simply unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one with such a reputation.
Food Quality: This was the biggest disappointment. We ordered three masala dosas, a buttermilk, a dahi vada, some rasam, and two zero Coke. Every single item failed to impress:
Masala dosa was cold, taste-less, and poorly presented. Even the plates and crockery looked below standard, and not even basic tissue paper was provided.
Dahi vada was the worst I’ve ever had. The dahi was excessively sweet, boondi served separately in a small bowl (very unprofessional and unappetizing), and overall, it tasted bad.
Butter milk and rasam were both extremely poorly done, both in taste and temperature.
No item stood out for taste, quality, or even presentation.
The Only Positive: The only redeeming factor is the restaurant’s location in a nice complex, but that is where the positives end.
Final Verdict: First time at Carnatic Cafe, and definitely the last. The food, service, cleanliness, and overall quality were shockingly poor. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. My rating: 0/10 for food quality, ambiance, cleanliness, and service. Extremely disappointed!

Our culinary journey began with a plate of Akki Roti. The texture, a perfect blend of crispness and softness, formed a delightful backdrop for the medley of spices and grated coconut within. It was a symphony of flavors that paired perfectly with the accompanying chutney.
The thali (Patravali oota) was a vibrant spectacle of regional flavors. Every dish carried an authentic essence that transported us back to the heart of Southern India. Complemented by perfectly steamed rice and a refreshing glass of buttermilk, the Thali offered a satisfying, homey meal.
The Kesari Bath, an undeniable star of the day. The pudding, fragrantly laced with ghee and adorned with cashews and raisins, struck the perfect balance between sweet and rich. A dish that demanded to be savoured.
Their Dosa, thin and crispy, yet tender at the center, was pure magic when dunked into tangy Sambar. Its simplicity belies the complexity of flavors contained within, each bite a testament to the mastery of the kitchen.
But it's the Filter Coffee that concluded the meal on a high note. Bold, aromatic, with a hint of chicory, it was served the traditional way, in a 'Davara-Tumbler', frothy top a sign of perfection. One sip, and you're left feeling energised and contented.
This restaurant is a treasure trove of South Indian cuisine, combining authentic flavours, prompt service, and a pleasant ambience into an irresistible dining experience.
With all this in store, it is a must to wait a bit when flocking around over the weekend. You’ll find a queue but with manageable waiting time.
