My experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing, to say the least. The hygiene standards were appallingly poor, and not a single item of food was acceptable. I have dined at other barbecue chains like Barbeque Nation and Barbeque Times, whose standard is outstanding and far superior. In comparison, the taste and quality of the food here were extremely subpar. My friend and I visited just yesterday. While we initially tried to overlook the taste, telling ourselves that sometimes food can be inconsistent, it became impossible to ignore. Neither the grilled starters nor the main course items were good. As a last resort, we decided to try the desserts, thinking, "What could go wrong with dessert?" However, at the dessert counter, we were horrified to see a cockroach crawling freely around the pastries. This was the final breaking point for us, and we decided we could not, in good conscience, pay for such a meal. The food was pathetic and the hygiene even more so. The manager had the audacity to claim that pest control had just been done on the 11th of August, yet the cockroaches were clearly visible to us. It's terrifying to think about what we might have already consumed that we didn't see. Unsurprisingly, we both now have upset stomachs and are feeling nauseous. We had chosen this restaurant to explore a new place, but the experience was utterly pathetic. I will never visit again and would never recommend it to anyone. To make matters worse, the manager still had the nerve to demand that we pay the full bill, despite the unforgivable issues on their end. We, of course, refused to pay for such a disastrous and unhygienic meal. I would've posted a video too, but can't since Google apparently doesn't allow a 5s short video, so I'll upload a screenshot. I fully intend to take this matter to the consumer court. I cannot stand by while a restaurant serves spoiled food and jeopardizes its customers' health. This cannot be...
Read moreHonest Review of 'Castles Barbeque'
I recently dined at 'Castles Barbeque', and I feel compelled to share my experience to provide a balanced perspective for potential visitors. While I was initially drawn in by the high Google rating of 4.4, my experience did not align with these expectations.
Service Quality: The service at 'Castles Barbeque' was notably below par. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, there was a significant delay in attending to customers. Requests often needed to be repeated multiple times to the staff, which suggests a need for improvement in attentiveness and efficiency.
Food Quality: The quality of food was a mixed experience. On a positive note, the main course was satisfactory and well-prepared. However, the non-vegetarian options were not cooked to standard, and the variety of items available fell short of what was listed on the menu. Additionally, the quality of pastries and bread was disappointing, being unusually hard.
Concerns About Reviews: Upon further reflection and a detailed examination of the restaurant's reviews, I observed a pattern that suggests a possible issue with the authenticity of the ratings. This observation is important for potential diners to consider, as it could indicate that the online ratings may not fully reflect the actual dining experience at 'Castles Barbeque'.
In summary, while 'Castles Barbeque' has potential, there are significant areas that require attention, particularly in service and food consistency. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the intent is to provide an honest assessment to help the restaurant improve and to offer a realistic expectation for...
Read moreWe had booked a veg buffet for 14 people at Castle Barbeque through Swiggy Dineout for 9:00 PM on 20th July 2025. We reached on time at 8:45 PM, but even by 9:50 PM we were not allotted seating.
When we were finally seated, the arrangement was completely chaotic. Instead of providing space for 14 people together, the restaurant merged a few tables for 9 people in the center and scattered the remaining 5 elsewhere. The tables were placed so closely that there was no space to move, serve, or even sit comfortably—for us, other diners, or even the staff.
There was no dedicated staff member assigned to our table, despite it being a large group. Every small thing—from spoons, forks, napkins to plates—was missing, and we had to ask multiple times for basic items. Even then, the response was delayed with promises like “5 minutes,” which rarely happened. Service was slow, inconsistent, and highly unprofessional.
To make things worse, one of the table tandoors wasn’t working. When we informed the waiter, instead of replacing it, he casually said it’s “just for keeping food warm” and that food comes prepared from the kitchen anyway—completely dismissing the issue.
On the food side, it was no better. The menu was limited, most of the buffet items were not refilled, and what was available was not even hot. This took away the very essence of a live buffet experience.
Overall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience. Poor service, cramped seating, missing cutlery, cold food, and a complete lack of coordination made it a night to forget. Castle Barbeque is not recommended—especially for large...
