Visited this place to celebrate a special family occasion. But had a bad experience on service as well as food. It seems to be a bad day for the restaurant as everything they were trying to do or not do was going against them... Not sure other customers visiting them feel the same or not but my first experience was not soo pleasant with them. Trying to keep the review detailed enough for better understanding n correction if #sanjeevkapoor or his management reads this #feedback #YellowChilli Service was not at par even like a road side restaurant. Had to order water 3 times in a gap of 10mins. No one bothered to even serve water ( after I returned the packaged water). Had to raise my voice to get water, before it was finally served. It is not basic that you serve water when someone visits you.?? Soya chap ordered had only 3 piece of veggies (roasted), 2 Pcs of tomato and 1 capcicum, as if the vegetables have gone expensive for them where they are charging ~300± for this starter. .. also Chap was very hard to chew.. I think a local restaurant serves softer chap why should I pay this much.. although as a courtesy they took the feedback and served another platter or Soya chap which was softer and tastier. Starters were served at the table but not on our plates, because medium plates were given when we started eating on side plates.. gain very strange to see this!!! I missed to take photographs of these instances but captured the pic of Napkins which were torned off!! One given to me had two holes in it!!! Seriously you are saving money on this??? Pls chk out pics attached here Ordered Paneer Pyaza (don't remember exact name).. while eating i noticed an atleast 3-4" hair in my food.. it surely was not mine, since I keep small hairs.. the waiter n another person did acknowledge this but did not do anything bout this!! Not even apologized for the blunder!!! Noted in the bill that they had not charged for 1chap dish only. Escalated the matter to the Floor manager to get better services.. But do you think someone needs to teach services to the staff of a restaurant owned by country's top #Chef #SanjeevKapoor
Don't want to add anything positive as I don't feel like writing positive comments.. i am sure the restaurant would have learnt something from this...
Read moreI've never had such an awful experience at any restaurant post making an advance reservation. I had made a buffet booking for the 2.30-4.30 pm slot for 12 people. Our guests reached the restaurant at around 3-3.15 pm, but we were refused to be served with the starters in the buffet saying that the starters are only served till 3.30. While making the booking, this was never discussed. We also heard all the recordings but this was never communicated. We still were there 15 mins earlier to their timings, still the staff refused to serve the starters and kept arguing for 30 mins. Ruined our entire dining experience. Post this argument, they asked us to order the entire food ala-carte and asked us to opt out of the buffet, even after we requested and ensured that their tables would be free before the end time.
Later, what we realised was that the buffet was being served to an entirely different set of guests who were there for some personal function and apparently were INFLUENTIAL. This booking of the buffet seemed more like last minute due to which they didn't allow us on taking on the buffet meal and instead go for Ala-Carte.
The bad experience didn't stop there.. post that their service was also pathetic. They took 30 mins to serve the desserts, and they were cold. We ordered gulab jamuns and they were not even heated. The brownie served was as hard as stone. The staff never bothered to apologise for this behaviour.
On top of that, there were billing errors and we were charged on the service charges. When we mentioned that we didn't like the services and didn't want to get this added, the staff started arguing. We had paid an advance while booking, which they forgot to adjust. We later got the amount refunded.
I highly recommend not going to this restaurant. I was a regular here, but yesterday was my last visit. Yellow chilli, you've lost some extremely loyal set of customers today thanks to your staff and...
