Recently , i need to take birthday treat from my friend and got confused where to go for a lunch . Though not fond of the hospitality rendered by the team of barbeque nation ( different outlet ) , she insisted me to check out vivek vihar outlet of barbeque nation . She previously went over this particular place couple of times and she was very delighted with the assistance rendered by the management in terms of food , service , ambiance etc . So i took a chance and went over here . As the birthday treat was pending for over 50 days , we went to this outlet on 14/jan/2018 for a lunch . Also i searched and read the reviews first on Zomato itself , it had come to my notice that i need to make table reservation prior to the date of the lunch . So i called and booked the table for two ( as there is NO OPTION to book table viz-a-viz ZOMATO . I guess the social media team of barbeque nation have to work on it as it will be more convenient for the customers to book table online rather than calling . Talking about the reviews i saw , it was little depressing for me as when i read reviews on zomato , recent reviews were on CRITICS side . Still i took a chance went over to this place .
*In starters , both veg n non veg dishes were included so i’m in a perfect position to give best review possible . Starters are as follows :-
1 – Prawns ( great in taste and the thing which makes me eat more is the size of prawns they served . Little big in size , perfectly cooked , awesome in taste .)
2 – Chicken ( Little spicy in taste as i’m not fond of eating spicy foods . Though it had been took care when i delivered the same message to the CHEF {pradeep joshi} .)
3 – Fish ( Too soft , though delicious . The fish they are serving is as soft as cotton . When it was put on grill , due to heat pieces were fallen . Other than this , no issue whatsoever .)
4 – Mutton seekh kabab ( Juicy mutton seekhs were served which were perfectly cooked . )
5 – Chicken wings ( This part disappoints me . They served this only once . Tasty as heaven but of what use when they are not served . I even told the guy delivering the food but it was not given again . )
*Coming to the MAIN COURSE : –
1 – Chicken Biryani ( Again perfectly cooked and chicken pieces were delicious . No complaints )
2 – Mutton Gravy ( Soft and juicy mutton pieces served in a little spicy gravy . Though mutton is ought to be spicy so again no issues over that . )
*Coming to the sweet dish : –
1 – Gulab jamun ( hot and soft . It was taste even more good when i had it with brownie . )
2 – Ice Creams ( only limited to two {vanilla & strawberry} . In order to make desserts more enjoyable , variety in ice creams must be present . At least chocolate ice should be added OR management should serve chocolate seerup . )
*Coming to the hospitality given to us by BN team : –
AMBIANCE : – Decent crowd , Spacious , though music was played during their dancing time only which was on repeat mode . Nothing much fascinating .
SERVICE : – Top class service provided by the BN staff . The manager ( Ankit singh & Devender rawat ) did a great job in order to get me what i asked for . Also , the CHEF (Pradeep joshi & ankit rawat) did a tremendous job in getting a mouth watering food . Other than that , the CHEF also took me to tour their kitchen where dishes were made .
QUALITY OF FOOD : – Great in terms of quality . But there is an exception to it which was fish . The fish they served in starters are too soft as it results in cut down of pieces in grill itself .
QUANTITY OF FOOD : – No comments on this section as you can eat as much as you can .
VALUE FOR MONEY : – I would say i’ve spend a quality time and the outlet is for sure value for your money .
*Coming to PROS & CONS : –
PROS – Quick service -Tasty food -Polite staff -Courteous -Awesome paan kulfi
CONS -No theme -Less music -No sprouts in salad -Limited desserts .
Coming to the overall Experience : –
-Food : 3.5/5 -Ambiance : 3/5 -Service : 4.5/5 -Quality : 4/5 -Value...
Read moreI have been to other Barbeque Nation outlets before and this one as well. This time I went for a lunch meal at around 1 PM. We got the early-bird discount, which was 10% of the total bill. I tried the MANGO ICE-TEA for my welcome drink, and that was one of the best non alcoholic discoveries for me. Try it out, you will forget any kind of Mojitos you have tried in the past. Both me and my brother went for the non-vegetarian option of lunch. Now as the BBN ritual started, the fixing of grills, I found the grill to be DIRTY from the sides. Now I am not saying that it was charred, I know the grills are eventually supposed to get charred, but there were food crumbs on the sides as you can see in the picture that I have shared. Now the one novel problem I experienced at this outlet was that the kebabs and tikkas which were placed on the grill, were not heating up. Now either the coal in the grill furnace was not proper or the air conditioning was too much. So I had to repeatedly ask the server for hot tikkas and kebabs and when he brought them hot from the kitchen, they were hotter than the ones getting grilled. The person serving was a bit outspoken, I do not want to reveal his name, but when I said that these are not hot at all, his reply was quite animated saying "Haa toh aap bolenge tabhi toh launga garam, aap bole hi nahi sir." How am I supposed to complain before complaining for the first time? Now I dont know what the standards of hotel industries are, but I am sure they are not TRAINED TO TALK like this. The TANDOORI CHICKEN was the best, although it is served separately on order but included in the buffet. The rest of the food was best as it is always. When I went to serve the main course spread for myself, I came across two staff member quarreling about some miscommunication, and by the time I reached the spread, they had reached the kitchen and were fighting with a chef. This whole altercation was pretty loud to hear what they were saying. People surely don't come to restaurants to hear altercation noises while they are eating, especially when it involves the chef who is cooking the food. The buffet spread was VERY GOOD and had a wide variety. So one should eat the starters wisely or they might have to skip the delicious main course buffet. The incharge did come to ask about how is the food, which has always been a good feature of BBQN. The restaurant is SPACIOUS and moving around is not a hassle. Bill was also as expected, no...
Read moreSharing my recent dining experience at your Laxmi Nagar branch, which regrettably left me quite dissatisfied.
My party of four visited your restaurant with high expectations, as we had heard great things about Barbeque Nation's culinary offerings. However, I must express my disappointment with the quality of food we encountered during our visit. To our dismay, not a single dish met our expectations, and the overall dining experience was far from enjoyable.
I am puzzled as to why the food quality was subpar, especially considering the positive reputation your brand holds. It is crucial for a restaurant of your caliber to maintain consistency in taste and quality across all its branches. My experience has left me questioning whether there is room for improvement in the kitchen or if this was an isolated incident.
What further exacerbated our dissatisfaction was the response we received when we brought these concerns to your attention. It appeared that the issue was attempted to be resolved by offering us four complimentary drinks. While we appreciate the gesture, it is essential to note that we visited your restaurant primarily for the food experience, and not for the beverages. We believe that the price we paid for our meal should correspond to a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience in terms of both food and service.
We strongly feel that our concerns should not be dismissed with a token gesture but should be taken as valuable feedback to improve the overall quality of the food and service at your Laxmi Nagar branch. We are loyal customers who genuinely want to see Barbeque Nation excel and continue to provide excellent dining experiences.
As a loyal customer who values good food and dining experiences, I hope to see Barbeque Nation continue to thrive and excel. However, my recent visit has left me with reservations about returning to your establishment.
I kindly request that you take this feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to assess and enhance the quality of your offerings at the Laxmi Nagar branch. Ensuring a consistently high standard of food and service is essential to maintain customer trust and loyalty.
I hope to hear about improvements...
