Buen New Delhi — Restaurant in Delhi

I’ve been to Buen several times, and I thought I knew what to expect — but last night completely destroyed that illusion. The entrance staff were shockingly rude and utterly classless. The promoter asked me to wait and then disappeared; when I politely asked the front desk to check with him so I could decide whether to stay or leave, she refused and treated me with open contempt. For a club that positions itself as upscale, this was disgraceful and beyond comprehension.

The way my group — composed of highly prominent individuals — was handled left a lasting negative impression. Honestly, I would rather go to Dear Donna, or any other pub in the Qutub Institutional Area, than deal with this nonsense, because their front desk is professional, polite, and the hospitality there actually screams class. The front desk at Buen was an embarrassment, and I’ve never seen anyone act this classless at a front desk, not even at renowned international clubs. We bought tickets for AJ Wavy’s showcase.. and we bought them in advance. The ticket said come by 9pm.

We got there by 9 and the venue people said they’re running late coz of the rain so everyone should come in an hour. They sent everyone back and didn’t accommodate for drinks/food while the wait was on. The staff were extremely rude. We came back in an hour. The staff then said the artist was still not here and that we still couldn’t enter and wait inside. We finally got in by 11:30 to a supremely crowded scene where there was no place to even stand. The whole experience / night could’ve been salvaged had the staff just been accommodating.

Went there for AJ Wavy. He came 5 hours late. Played some pathetic music. Charged a bomb for the entry for a performer who neither valued time nor music .

In terms of service , Buen has the most arrogant staff and owner of Delhi. Pretentious with elitist policies. They make arbitrary rules on attire, with no policy backing. The statement of the guy at the entrance - " MY BAR, MY RULES " was the tipping point.

Food was horrible. Overpriced AF. Oh yes, how can I forget, they were openly allowing hard drugs and narcotic consumption inside their premises
